It looks like a fun, quirky dvd movie meant to push a product. And I can't really hate on it when it looks like it'll be entertaining for an hour and i'm pretty excited for the dolls.

hehe... and we'll see a whole new realm for cosplay. Wonder if girls will paint themselves with body paint for the full effect?

Yeah, but that's a human representation of a pony's personality. Now they'll be able to just do this directly, and there are new/different elements to work with.

I'm just glad they kept the right voices. Drives me nuts when they switch out VAs in the middle of a series or for a movie, and the new character voices don't sound ANYTHING like the old ones.
Like Sailor Moon, for example. The first two seasons, Serena's dubbed voice was fine, but when the last two were dubbed they switched to another voice actor and holy CRIKEY she was horrible! She sounded like a middle-aged lady trying desperately to sound like a hyperactive teenager and failing MISERABLY at it. I will NOT watched the later seasons dubbed. I absolutely REFUSE to listen to that voice. UGH. *shudders*

It looks like the Monster High dolls to ponies might still be a viable idea. But let's let Hasbro fail on its own first.
And I love the glitch face gif

To push a product? Then, gaaah, let's SEE the product! I'm curious as hell! The movie is hitting in, what, less than a month? I want to know if this is something I'll be interessted in :<
