Even though the new Flickr sucks monkey balls, I probably won't leave because it's such an extensive database of all kinds of dolls pictures that I won't be able to find anywhere else... BUT I still really like the alternative I discovered through other people, ipernity. It's more webpage-like, I love it! It looks like it's owned by the exact same staff that made Flickr, but I don't care, hehe. The concept is completely different. I haven't add any pics yet but please add me if you have an account, I'll add you back!!

I didn't think Flickr was all that bad. I mean, Photobucket is more of a jumbled mess than Flickr is. But it's easier to link pictures from PB, so that's what I always use.

They reformatted everything and it just made it a bit of a pain to use...

I don't see what all the fuss about Flickr's new layout is about. Its a bit glossier and you have to get used to where the old buttons are in the new design. But other then that I do not like or dislike it more.
I didn't like the fact that it was trown on there without anyone knowing (or atleased.. me not knowing?) they were going to change things. I meen I was working on my gallery on the site when it "happened" and I didn't realise what had happend. I thought I clicked a wrong button or something and was on a totally different site. Then as I realised I was still on flickr it took me quit a while to figure out how I had to do the things I was working on.
But well in the end it isn't that far from the way it used to work.

I heard from others tho that a number of Ipernity users is not liking the fact that all doll lovers are settling down on ipernity and are making quit an uproar about their idea that doll photography isn't photography at all and should not be on ipernity.
I thought ipernity was about personal photo's and such at first glance... or that they aimed to be that. But the users seem to have a totally different idea about that and think it is about artistic photo's...
I have not made an account there yet and am wondering if I should have yet another website to post my pictures on. As I am not leaving flickr.

Then what about personal photos like family pictures and vacations and whatnot? If they're fussed about doll photos I doubt they'd consider snapshots any kind of art at all. Do they want THOSE banned, too?

Seriously, some people fuss over the most retarded things...

I'm still getting used to the new Flickr, but so far I don't have any real problems with it. I'm sure it would have been easier if I had actually taken the time to go though the tutorial instead of dismissing it .... I like the more professional, art board layout.

There was a tutorial!?!?
I never saw it! Or maybe I clicked just when I got the new site infront of me and clicked it away emidiatly? Was a very strange experience for me anyway. Working on that site then all of a sudden there was this non familiar new site infront of me and I didn't know how or where it came from.

And yes I wonder about the family snapshot things too as I thought the site was about that kind of thing till I read about the fuss...

I am changing my Flickr account over to the free one and have moved over to Smug Mug. It is just a lot easier for me to navigate.
