Yay for Progress--New Face-Ups!

Golly. When I did Zelda's face-up about 8 months ago, I felt like it was a huge improvement over the few bjd-style face-ups I'd done in the past.



Well, now she's looking pretty bland next to the floating heads I just finished!

Introducing, Big Ghaleon:




And Big Rau:




Of the two of them, I think Rau turned out the best. But yeah. Pretty big improvement, I think. I think I'm almost close to the point where I'd feel comfortable taking commissions.
And now I need to redo Zelda's face-up! But I'm completely out of MSC. Hopefully more of my Tae heads will sell so I can afford to get some more... I needs my MSC fix!

I really like the eyebrows and eyelashes. The eyelashes are such fine, straight lines!

Heehee, thanks! I tried doing those with dry media, just pastel and prismacolor pencils, with a smidgen of mica powder.

They all look great! I especially love how you drew on Rau's eyelashes, I swear they make his eyes look even bigger!

Sixoclock: Heehee, thankies! :3 The Ghaleon is irresistible. >w< He's wearing some 18mm or 16mm red acrylics from JS. Not sure if there's a brand name or not. I actually got some red glass "cat" eyes in for him the other day, and I think they suit him even better than the JS ones. Need to remember to take another photo before I gotta head back to university this weekend! ^-^;
