She'll be cast by Fantasy Doll, and start at $220 for a blank doll, with custom acrylic eyes by Safrin Doll. I haven't worked out the pricing for the fullset yet -- still figuring out costs on that. Specifically, can I actually do my own face-ups, or do I have to outsource because I suck. :P

And now I really feel spammy. Lol, buy mai dollieh! :roll:

Aaanyway, if anyone is really super interested, I do have a mailing list: http://dreamspundoll.com/subscribe/, and subscribers will definitely get first dibs on the LE10 fullset. Although for all I know, supply is going to exceed demand, and I'll be stuck with a half-dozen Kitpandies in wa-loli. :D

LOLS!! I don't think that will be a problem, actually!

So, here's a closeup of a part printed by Shapeways:

And here's Kitpandi, with a first coat of primer:

Unfortunately, I forgot to order one of her ears, and I have to re-order some other parts, but all in all I'm happy with how she came out. ^_^

Thank you! And at risk of sounding insufferable smug... yes, yes I do. :D But I've been working on Kit off-and-on since early 2008, so maybe I've earned some smug... and it only lasted as long as it took me to pick up her little arms and realize they didn't work properly. Sigh. Back to zBrush with me. ;)

Not smug at all. Seriously, you are holding in your hand something that you made on the computer. Ten years ago, that would have been all but impossible to do. You've more than earned the right to be smug. Your girl is already adorable. When she's finished, she'll be crazy cute! ^.~

Heck, I still get excited every time I send a model off to be printed from shapeways. ^______^

I'd suggest to use apoxie sculpt to get your girl working right instead of going for another round of printing. The apoxie will stick to the Z-corp print, has a working time of approx 2hrs and sets up rock hard within 24. This way you'll get some hands-on time with her (in addition to the time that I hope you're going to put in sanding), and it won't take 2 weeks plus to find out what new and interesting issue has popped up with the jointing.

Ooh, what kind of things do you print? And yeah, I was originally thinking I'd go the Apoxie route... but it's the joints. The balls and cups are actually slightly distorted, instead of being the perfect spheres that the computer is so very good at generating. I was fiddling with her proportions, and I must have smushed her arms without realizing it. :(

Sigh. I don't know, if I can find something the right size to mold for the joint spheres, I might try to do them in Apoxie. I'd hate to have to wait another two weeks... and I agree, there's no guarantee I'd get it right the second time, either. ;P

Ouchies! Sorry, didn't realize it was a shoulder that had gotten messed up. For type of joint, get a re-print. That way, if you ever decide to monkey around with slapping new appendages or what-not on your girl, it'll be loads easier. If it had been an elbow or knee, then fix it with apoxie. ^.~

I've been primarily sticking to small stuff/accessories. Here's a few quick shots of the prints I have on hand. I forgot to grab the shuriken for this, and the kunai are being reprinted (i lost my small ones!)... so those aren't there. All of these are in WSF. I've found that I like the level of detail in WSF to most of the other shapeways materials. To get an idea of scale, those little squares are cubic inches.

SD Sai, normal and manji style.

SD sized kusarigama. This one and the MSD version have ball-joints in the handles that hold the chain in place.

Segmented chain-whip. This one is still being worked on because it's giving a few weird issues. ^^;;;
