No, I've never seen any of the movies but I'm in the mood to make a Jack Sparrow costume and/or variations for my Johnny doll. http://dolfielittles.typepad.com/.a/6a0 ... 970c-800wi I will be updating his face-up with the smokey eyes and beard.

So far more pirate obsessed people, what parts do I need to dress my wee little pirate? Shirt, pants, coat, boots, accessories, headscarf I can attach dreads to, shrunken head, scissor hands, angora sweater, TIm Burton in his pocket?

*My, it's so hot in here

I'm stumped a bit on the hair. I want it to attach to the scarf instead of the head, which is solid resin. Should I just unravel some yarn?

In your place I would make yard dreads and a couple bead strands and attach them to his scarf. That will cut down on bulk. Then you need a ratty tricorn hat on top of that.

This is how Tonner has him dressed if that helps

I saw it, but the point for me is making it. And a Ken outfit wouldn't be the best fit the DML body I'm using for my guy.

The look of the Tonner one is closer to what Jack at Disneyland wears too, and that one means more to me as my sister and I had out pictures taken with him.

Not a prob, but Ken is a lot longer and narrower in places, and they can't share shoes.

It turns out the pattern I did for Doctor #4, who uses the same body, is perfect. I just needed to widen the hem of the coat. Everything is cut out and I got the pants together.

Got to plug the pattern book for those wanting to make their own Jack outfit. http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/d ... 1/12195581 Use the frock coat without sleeves for the waistcoat, and add a gore to the frock coat, as in #6's, to make that. Just add pocket flaps and big cuffs to the coat. I need to get out my felt to make his boots. That will take some thinking.

Next I'll need to know what accessories he needs.

The wig is a fine yarn with one seam in the middle of the hair like an old fashioned doll yarn wig.

It feels great finally giving this head something for it to be, work him in to a story somewhere. Should I see the movies or just take what I know from impersonations, lols, and memes?
