Yep - broken or incorrect link. Happens all the time on websites and such. You'll want to check the image address that you put in as a link, I took a look and my guess is there is an extra / at the end and that is what is preventing the link from working.

The extra backslash is there because that address is for an entire page. That's why it works as a link.

The actual image location needed for the image tags is (minus the greater than/less than signs):

Add the image tags to the above and...


Now in the picture, why the board is displaying the garbage text. I don't know. Since everyone isn't displaying that, the problem would seem to be on the user's end. That's all I could say for certain. I would guess the computer isn't recognizing the display text font correctly. The first thing I'd try is switching to one of the other board displays, one of the more "plain vanilla" ones like prosilver. Go to User Control Panel, Board Preferences, and My Board Style and select one of the other board styles. Restart your browser if necessary.

Not sure...it happened on my home machine (never has before), and I'm not there right now. It's running WinXP, and Firefox 5, and I've always used the same board style. I'll check when I get back home.

As for the misplaced backslash, :::sigh:::. I know better than to post stuff without previewing it.

It wasn't misplaced. You just posted the link to the page the picture was on, not the picture itself, and that's why the [ img ] tag didn't work

Bingo!
If you're running Firefox, you can right click on the image and from the pop-up menu select Copy Image Location. Then paste that between the IMG tags.

KatyaR, I assume you're reading the board okay now (ya posted after all). The trouble might have been a "one time" thing. Keep your fingers crossed.
