The 'post a new topic' button for me is unavailable in all areas except this one. Is there a reason?

This is kind of hard to troubleshoot from a distance as the trouble seems to be isolated on your machine. Try some of the "simple fixes" first, hard reboot (power off) the computer, clear your browser's cache, power cycle your modem, etc. These seemingly simple things can cure a lot of ills. A lot of what these operations do is "clear the slate" so to speak, which can fix a lot of strange errors that can crop up. Days of web browsing on dozens of different sites, using numerous programs by different publishers, inadvertent downloads of who knows what from some "ad" site can all cause errant bits of code to build up in temporary files and caches. This can interfere with the programs you want to run and make strange, one of a kind errors occur.

What browser are you using (Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
What version of the board are you using (DirtyBoard, Dark Fantasy, Pinkie, Prosilver, etc.)?
Did this issue just start today when you logged on or sometime during a session?
