Welcome!

Recommendations for 1/4 vary with budget and what you would like it for. If you like the obitsu then maybe you want to consider their 40s. If you are looking for resin I love my Bobobie's sculpt, but even restrung and sueded I wouldn't trust him to stand on his own. On the other hand my Angel of Dream boy body (with a DollZone Shoyo head) can stand hunched over without additional support. I have two Luts KDelfs that are adorable and somewhat in between for posing.

If you are going to be waiting for a bit... our Kiki-chan78 will be coming out with her MSD line for Sweet Dolls. Her resins pose like nobody's business and all the sculpts will have human and elf variations and she likes to do special things like optional feet and hands. ^___^

Welcome!

For the 1/4 scale - I like all three I've got - a Resinsoul Ya on a single jointed body, a Hujoo Chicaloca (ABS, not resin, and I think the same body as their other 1/4 dolls - the action dolls), and a Doll Chateau Bella. Poseability wise, the Resinsoul is probably the worst - she stands fine in the right shoes, but prefers to keep her arms clamped to her sides or in poses such has hand on hip, hand to forehead and so on. The Hujoo is a pretty good poser but for some reason won't hold her hand to her face (and currently has problems standing but that's down to the shoes she's in right now - her centre of gravity has her trying to balance on a curved bit of sole). Her body is not what you'd call pretty though (although I actually love how it how looks). The best poser is the Doll Chateau - she can be a bit kicky, but she stands and waves her arms around like a good 'un; kneels well and usually sits well, although tends to fold her legs under or to one side. I'm not sure if there are additional hand sculpts for any of those three though.
Remember, the reverse of stressed is desserts.
Growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional.

Thank you!

Hmm... yes I've been thinking their 40s but I don't mind waiting either. ^^

Oohh... I love Doll Chateau dolls, they look so different from others! ^^ <3
...But I don't think they have optional hands and feet. :<
My 50 cm Obitsu can stand on her own but she still needs to have her both feet on the ground.
I want my doll to be able to stand, without a magnet base or with it - like Obitsu.
I've read a couple of reviews about that Hujoo action doll and I'm pretty sure I don't want one, like you said they still have some problems.

Thank you~! ^^

Obitsus are cool~ They are affordable and they have spare parts, optional hands and feet - that's why I had to buy one! :D However their body scuplts aren't that pretty... but I can live with that because I'm not into taking naked photos of my doll anyway. XD

Welcome to the board

The Obi50 is a fun one since they aren't too different from their 1/6 siblings. Parabox has their 40-48cm range. so there's always an Obi size for you.
