Sure do, 50cm Chun Li series 1 and 2. Getting a doll and shooting it is one way to enjoy the hobby.

@Yanagi-sen That's really awesome how you're recreating all your faves! Also, how do you like the Luts dolls? I just recently discovered them, and I have to admit, I'm really drooling after them.
My wife and I dream of teaching in Japan a couple of years. Unfortunately we can't until I get a passport, which means I have to become a citizen first...and I just became a resident, so I have a bit to go. But as soon as that's done, we're so there!
How was the experience? Did you do it through JET or another program?


What did you Cosplay as? I tried it once, when I went to my first con. Sadly it was so long ago it predates digital cameras so all I have is a crappy old pic I need to scan sometime.

The problem is every time I get into a new series, I see someone I just HAVE to bring home. ^_~ I LOVE my Luts dolls. Momiji is the only doll that I've ordered straight from the company, not a distributor like JunkySpot. I've been very happy, with the doll and the company. He is a little 'kicky'... but other than that I'm very pleased with the quality and sculpt.

I had a great experience in Japan. I went through the JET program (Kiki-chan78 pointed me at them in fact). I ended up in a RURAL public high school in the middle of nowhere, Nagasaki Prefecture. I was the only westerner in my little town and one of maybe 4 on the island (Hirado). I was very lucky that my principal was a former English teacher and so valued his ALTs, that doesn't happen everywhere. But I had great students and excellent coworkers, in fact I was instantly adopted by the illustration and band clubs. ^__^

I have to butt in on the cosplay thing... it's fun to cosplay WITH the dolls. They are a great way to have a whole group, even if there are only a couple of you. Kiki-chan78 and I are planning a large Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) cosplay for people and dolls at AKon. Should make for some fun pictures.

@Evelien Yeah, I really want to learn to do faceups! I have my eye on an SQLabs head that would be amazing, but I know I'm going to either find someone or bite the bullet and learn the secrets of makeup... did it take you long to learn?

Heh... yeah... I know what you mean. I've always known I wanted to be a teacher, but the profession isn't exactly very highly regarded here, and when I expressed my wish to one of my teachers in high school when I was 16, he got extremely angry. I'm not gonna brag about IQ levels because they don't mean much in real life, but let's just say I am not dumb, and he thought it would be an immense shame if I didn't go to Uni after high school. I was 16 and gullable and thought he was right, so I went and became very unhappy . After messing up in college twice and working at a supermarket for two years because I'd lost myself completely, someone told me he thought I'd be a wonderful teacher... and suddenly I remembered my dream. This may sound really weird but I actually FORGOT about that old dream. I was 22 when I enrolled in college to be a primary school teacher and I was 28 when I graduated in 2011, lol, because of some serious self-discipline issues (it should have only taken me 4 years) . But anyway: ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR HEART. Sorry about the essay piece. Oh, by the way, when I was 22 I also met my (now ex-)boyfriend who told me becoming a primary school teacher would be such a waste. If I wanted to teach, I should do so at a University, he said. Oh well. According to him I wasn't good enough in so many ways that it didn't last anyway XD

Errrr, faceups. How long did it take me to learn?! I'm flattered, but I'm still learning and I will be for a looong time! My faceups are far from good and that's not false modesty (sorry if this isn't correct English), I'm just realistic. I have to say, I used to own 2 60cm Obitsu girls and I only switched to resin BJDs recently, and doing faceups on resin seems easier to me than doing it on Obitsu vinyl.

I prefer them small. Funny, cause I've got an E cup IRL.. Smaller boobs are my ideal. Much more practical.
