An Italian newbie for you!

Postby MitisFeles » Sun Sep 18, 2011 5:34 am

Hi! I found that board searching for some tips, and after some lurking I decide to come out and make an account
I'm on the twenty and I started customizing dolls six or seven months ago, doing some interview on Barbie-like dolls, and now I want to buy my first 1/6 BJD. I checked an Italian board for more information, and the girls showed me some beautiful SOOM resin dolls, but... well, I want to paint and customize my doll, and I'll be very scared to interview on a 200+ $ doll  So I think I'll return to my first idea, buying an Obitsu. Hope that my still-in-learning English will not scare you and that my dolls could have fun here ^_-

Hiya and welcome! :D
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

You sound just like I did when I started. Now I have about 13 1/6 Obitsus and Volks, and two 1/3 resins. ^_^; You might think you can't afford it, you might not actually be able to afford it (I couldn't!) , but everyone here will help you figure out a way to get a doll in your hands. They will totally get you into trouble, and you'll have so much fun the whole time! XD I hope you love it here...everyone is so friendly and helpful!
By the way, Obitsu is a great choice! They're really popular, and perfect for customizing any way you like. Can't wait to see what you do with yours!

Welcome! Don't worry about you still learning English! We'll help you out and it's actually very good for a beginner.

As Claws said, Obitsus are great starters. I actually just got my first Obitsu and I couldn't be happier with her! Claws pretty much summed everything up. We're horrible enablers here ^.^ I said I only wanted one doll and within 2 or 3 months I now have 3!

@Claws and Lexagon: Thank you ^_^ A friend of mine warned me in the same way, she said: "Now you say that you want only a couple of doll, but let's pass two or three months and you will ever want more" XD
