Hi there, new doll fan over here. I've admired ABJD's for yeeeaars, since I first went to an anime con, and saw my first doll in person. (Well, not MY first doll, just the first doll I'd ever set eyes on. Y'know what I mean.... I wish he were mine though, his owner was looking for a new home for him, but I sooo could not afford. xD)

However, I sorta put it aside for a long time, since all the dolls I liked were 500+ dollars, and I had more priorities.
Plus the face ups and such sounded scary! :?

But earlier this year the Monster High bug bit me, and I fell in love with those. I started customizing those, aswell as MLP's, and after building a lot of confidence in my art, I bought my first 1/6 Obitsu, Lottie. (A gretel head on a 27cm body)

Lottie was followed by Esther, (I don't remember her head type, her body is a large SB)...
And after Esther I ordered a 11cm doll, and a slim male. (Both are going to be my fav character from my fav manga, once I paint and root them. :3 )

I'm also thinking about getting a haruka head and a 25cm body...
That, and I've been eying some bobobie dolls lately, 1/4 and 1/3 dolliehs still call out for me. xD

Interests outside the dolls include acting, broadway theater, rats, cosplay, rats, and select anime/manga. (AKA, I love old CLAMP, Kaori Yuki, I'm a Hellsing fan. Oh, and Gankutsuou. But other than that, I don't like a lot of manga and anime.)

And that's me in a nutshell, or at least me so far as dolls are concerned. Hi guys, I'd been tempted to join Dollieh sanctuary for a long time, and I am glad I did... I'm happy to be here. :3

Hi and welcome. MSD-1/4 scale is my favorite size dolls. BBB 1/4 are a nice, affordable choice. I have a white BBB Espree boy and I love him. Just remember if you do get a BBB, be prepared to restring the doll when it arrives if you want it to do anything but flop. ^__^

I also have a 27 cm obitsu with a pixy head and I'm considering getting another one with a nano-gretel head as a yule present for myself.

Again, welcome!

Hiya and welcome! BBB/RS MSD 1/4 dolls are awesome, I definitely recommend them! (Says the girl who has 4 of them already and wants another 3.) Don't worry about restringing them though, with a lot of the newer ones just a tightening of the strings will often help. I see you like Gankutsuou, that was one of my favorite anime's for a long time, and I don't often run into others who even knew what it was, glad to find another fan! :D
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Like, just hoooow floppy are they? I thiiink I've got a good grasp on how to restring a doll, from all the vids I've watched on it, and what I've read, but I'm still a bit nervous. But if they're only a liiiittle floppy I might just leave them as they are. I've decided I'm definitely gonna get one. Some day.

Espree's so cuute. I like Mai, myself, he's who I'm thinking about getting... Although I've also been looking at the 1/3 boys. I reeeaaally like Apollo, but the size kinda overwhelms me. Suuch a reasonable price, though. And I love that junkyspot has him in stock, in white.

Nano-gretel is so cute. (Although mine has eyes that are a size big for her, so I've never actually looked at one with the recommended eyes.... )

Hello and welcome. We are all friendly here and we like pictures :)

You would probably be interested to know that one of the dolls I'm working on right now is Rosiel from Angel Sanctuary. (Kaori Yuki is a goddess. I LOVE her manga >_< ) Eventually Katan will join the dollieh family as well
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I'll probably get so addicted to them once I get one. xD
Your girls are so lovely.

And oohh, I know. Fans of that series are so scarce. It's a shame, it was such a good anime. Nice to meet someone else who likes it. :3

Ooooh my gosh, I know! Oh, shoot, now I sound like a stalker, I swear I'm not... I was just lurking, while I waited to be accepted to the forum. XD
I saw your posts about it, on the junkyspot forums, and when I was browsing here.
I sooo cannot wait to see him. :3

I've been thinking about making an Alexiel doll, actually.
(But that comes after I add some Godchild characters to my doll family...)

And to everyone else.... Thanks, can't wait to post around!
I'm probably going to go introduce my girls pretty soon, once I take some nice pics of them. ^__^
