For years I’ve resisted joining in her doll hobby, but I’ve been drawn in despite my best efforts! While our house is full of my wife’s Obitsu, Barbie, Monster High, and other dolls, I’ve only claimed two Monster High dolls for my own — the main line Abbey Bominable and Skull Shores Frankie Stein. I haven’t told her yet that the Skull Shores and Dead Tired Abbey Bominables are on their way...but they’ll be mine, too, when they arrive.
I’m still learning how to say the names of these dolls unironically and with a straight face, though I’ve come along way after calling every Target in the tri-state area asking if they have Venus McFlytrap.
Hopefully this forum will help me understand my wife’s passion for dolls and perhaps develop more of an interest myself.
