Squeaky joints on Barbie?

Postby Gabrielleh » Sat Aug 18, 2012 10:49 am

Hello! Okay, this is probably going to sound kind of odd, but upon my interest peaking in dolls, I opted to get a used Barbie from Goodwill to use as a general mannequin for clothing I was making (I'm planning to get a 27cm Obitsu). Despite her being a little bigger in measurements, it's actually worked out pretty well for me.

Long story short, I've grown rather fond of "Shauntel", as my fiance so named her. But the problem is, she's very squeaky. In particular, around her knees, which is kind of weird since they're so loose.
Is there anything I can do to alleviate the squeaking, and possibly tighten the knees?
I have no idea what model she is, but she has this type of body:

Thank you!

I've been wondering about that too, actually. I was thinking maybe starch or talcum powder, but I haven't tried either yet.
