Attaching a Minifee head without the neck connector thingy?

Do you mean attaching a Minifee head to a non-MNF body? I'm pretty sure there are tutorials on DoA for that, but I don't know if anyone has made one here yet.

I have done it. I used epoxy. the plumbers variety because it sets quickly, and plastic wrap, so that it didn't bond to my little one permanently. You have to make the piece that fits in his neck first, from the bottom of his head. Put plastic wrap in the neck part of his head, shove the epoxy up in there so it conforms to the registration that is in the neck and will stay put, and then put plastic wrap over the end and shove the neck of the body up to the epoxy and wiggle it all around. What you are doing is making the connector piece, the first part. When you make it this way it will seat just like the fairyland connector piece would naturally and be removable so it won't permanently modify you little one's head. By putting the body against it, you are insuring the shape of the connector and be giving yourself the ability to alter how it sits on the neck to give it a natural appearance and still have a full range of movement. I recommend the stuff that says it has a half hour working time. If you get the stuff that says five minutes it will set up before you even get it shoved in the neck right. Anywhere between a half hour to an hour working time is good for the epoxy. It takes 24 hours for full cure so... do it before bed so you don't futz with it after you have it set to your liking. Do the second part the next day. Leave the neck connector that you already made in your little one's head. Oh you can remove the plastic wrap after 24 hours. It's just to protect your doll from the sticky epoxy because it does bond very well to resin. Place another piece of plastic wrap inside your little one's head with the neck piece in place. Use a smaller chunk of epoxy and squish it into place so it conforms to the registration inside his head this time. It is very helpful to have a dremmel for when both parts are set up. I ground the slot for the s hook into mine after I made the pieces and fine tuned the shapes so my s hook actually sits sideways in his head and I can get at his eyes more easily. Be patient and realize that, because you are doing this in a way that is not permanent, you can run to the hardware store and buy yourself another tube of epoxy putty and try again till you are pleased with the result. Nothing is permanent at all. If you want I can post pictures of Kaname. He is a breakaway on a resin soul body. He is the one I made the pieces for. Just ask if you have any other questions. It's just the head. I don't have a body for him yet, but I was thinking of getting a Mirodoll body for him.

@Myrretah: anything involving power tools is going to be a no-go for me.
