Pictures of doll joints

Does anyone a doll with a ball on the bottom of the waist that sits in a hip socket? I'd like to see the range of movement they have.

I don't own one, but I think this is what you mean? I remember someone on DoA doing quite extensive mods to one because the body as such is not all that well-engineered, but its range of motion was fine ... I'll try to find that thread again if you like.

I mean the other way where the only body joint is in the hips. The upper body is longer and fits in to a socket in the hips.

I'm working on a doll who just needs some movement to wiggle and twist naturally, he's being made with his clothes on so I'm thinking if the ball is part of the upper body and colored the same as the shirt it would look better in the pant colored hip socket when he bends.

It's okay, we all do that.

Anyone have a doll with the kneecap on the thigh? Or the knee ball on the thigh? Are they sturdy?
