I Am Now The Proud Owner Of My First BJD!!!!!

Probably my last too, since even looking at those little $40 Hoojoo's makes me blanch, but en route to my house now "Miss Delilah Noir" the Pretty In Pink version. This is the Delilah that I have long coveted and have thought many times about getting from Ashton Drake. I went to find my Dad a new set of wireless headphones and saw her on sale for like $75 and went but I was going to be good, really, I absolutely WAS because I have no extra $$$ right now, but then my Dad said "You know that's half of what she was in my catalog. I remembered you mentioning her and I saw her thought she was really cute and wondered if you'd like her for Christmas. I was going to ask you. If you want her buy her now. She's half off and it will save me money." Didn't even blink, I just looked straight back at him and asked "Do I have to put her away for Christmas?" He said not but told me to remember come December that she was my dolly Christmas present. I duly promised to put her under the tree, laugh.

YAY!!!! I've been waiting a long, long time for this. But of course now I have a million questions about Delilah so I'm going to have to look up stuff here and lurk on her forum for a bit. I want to keep her shoes and leggings. Need those for new costume. I'm not too sure about the rest. I have several pairs of eyes and tons of wigs that will fit her and a lot of very similar clothes so I don't need the factory outfit except for the shoes. It's cute but I may sell all that off and buy her some more shoes to wear besides those. Clothes I can make and likely have plenty to fit her already anyway. She looks like maybe she has Ellowyne sized feet though and I know I don't have anything that will fit her if that's so. I love the high heeled pink sneaks and leggings but I really want to do a different look with her. She's going to get a reddish blond long wig, and blue or green eyes, and we're going for less of a Hello Vampire Kitty and more of a Steampunk Lolita in Oz look I think. Amber eyes just don't do it for me nor does straight blond hair.

I'm not quite sure what I am going to do yet. I have a general idea I need to see what works with her. I have now read every DN post on here and FYI, I found the patterns. Thanks for that. I will peruse them later. Off to the DN forum to peruse more info. See you in a bit! OH! According to the DN forum crew it seems Ms Delilah can wear Willow and Daisy shoes. Looks like she has a shoe wardrobe at my house after all! I have several pairs of W&D shoes and boots actually including the awesome "Supper With Friends" lace Mod boots.

I won't be joining DOA. I knew ahead of time that they didn't approve of Delilah and I kind of snorted at that when I read it. I honestly don't care what they think. That place doesn't impress me much. She's the BJD I wanted and I think she's lovely. How about reasonably priced shoes? I wouldn't mind more boots for her but Ellowyne's stuff is a bit pricey for me.
