My biggest ones are in their boxes, a carry case, and my halloween family are together in a coffin. The smaller ones are in two dollhouses or on top of cubby shelves that store their stuff. I have enough dolls that they have their own wall. Their space is pet free but the hair still gets in.
When it was just one big doll he sat wherever he wanted. A higher level of a book shelf that kitty doesn't climb to should do okay.

i used to keep mine on my dresser, but due to some recent rearrangements in my life, i now keep most of them on my computer desk...
