I don't own one yet, but I like a lot of their sculpts.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

So the overwhelming majority opinion is thumbs up :P
the characters I have in mind are from the same geographical area, so I like that the sculpts slightly resemble each other without looking the same. My only concern is for my male character, these bodies might be too slender to represent the character correctly...but I love their face sculpts. The slenderness is perfect for my female character though. I still have some thinking and character development to work through before I go ahead and order anybody.

Re-string, sueding, wiring doesn't bother and actually kind of excites me...yeah I'm a dork. I also don't mind having to make clothes for their slim bodies, that excites me too :P

I'm getting more excited about this as I go, you are all talking me into it ;)

Tyler Wentworth clothes and patterns fit the MSD girl body beautifully.

I have four MSD resinsouls in light tan, white, and normal skin. I love them all. The double-jointed bodies pose great, particularly the girls. My single-joint boy isn't shabby either. Just restring them and they're gems.

I'm a fan of ResinSoul as well. My first dollieh is a RS Song, and I absolutely love him. There is just so much you can do. Akane does stand fairly well once you get him situation, but one thing that I have to look out for is his knees.

If you look at his right knee, you can see how awkward it looks. He loves to do that all the time.

Beautiful dolls Mirrin!
Thanks for all the pics guys they are awesome! All your dolliehs are soo super gorgeous. And your tips and opinions are great too. I am glad that I got such positive feedback since I had fallen so in love with these dolls. They have a certain elegance I think...or gracefulness?? I love how naturally they pose.

But still my biggest concern with any resin doll is yellowing. I just love outdoor photos and natural light so much....Ah oh well, right? Comes with the territory I suppose...

I've been getting pretty obsessed and writing down backstories, character descriptions, ect. I have just sold a doll so I thinking ((thinking!!!)) a purchase might be happening soon (eeep!) but I'm not sure. I still have a lot of research to do.

Like everyone else I adore the resinsoul guys I have; both of them can "stand" ...well lean on the wall in a moody pose! (But I never dare ask anything more of my dolls in this flat - the floor is industrial carpet laid straight onto concrete...) I'm sure if I tried hard enough they could stand freestyle - and so far I've had no problems with the elastic they came with. And they're so expressive! Just change the angle/lighting and the look can change from cheerful to moody in an instant

Most of my collection is RS, I love their slim bodies. Also reiterating the opinions stated, that restringing is pretty necessary and wiring/sueding can help tons. Angel, which is the 60cm Gang body, with Dai's head, is by far my favorite doll. He's amazingly expressive. He has new strings in his legs/torso, but I kept the default strings in his arms, and he's wired and sueded all the way through. You can get some very natural poses out of these guys with a little effort. http://www.flickr.com/photos/67411772@N ... 956481850/

Very VERY worth it for the price.

As for the yellowing, this might just be me but... I think it's made a far bigger deal of than it really is. If you take care of your dolls, and don't leave them sitting in a windowsill all day every day, then they will yellow evenly, and you likely won't even be able to notice it, until you get a new doll of the same color and set them side by side. Outdoor photoshoots will not ruin your doll instantly. Also remember that resin will yellow slowly over time, even if the poor doll is left hidden away in a box all its life. It's part of the oxidation process of resin, and it's inevitable. I dunno about the rest, but I would rather enjoy my dolls and let them get yellowed and dirty, than keep them in pristine condition in some dark cabinet. Vespera, one of my first dolls, is horribly yellowed because she was left in a sunny room, and exposed to gawdawful amounts of smoke and now has "tanlines" from her clothing, but I love her anyway. She does, of course, need a restringing as I replaced her original BBB strings with some of this junk from JoAnn's that really doesn't hold up to 1/3 size dollies. I also plan on wiring her, just haven't gotten to it.

I agree. Akane has yellowed considerably since I first got him due to sun exposure and the fact that I live with smokers. However, the yellowing really isn't that bad. It's not neon yellow nor is it a puke yellow, and it works for him. Yellowing is going to happen, it just is. Like OkamiKodomo said, I would rather enjoy them and have them get dirty and yellow than stick them on a shelf to keep them in perfect condition.

I'm totally on board with you OkamiKomodo & takahirokumiko, which is why I've avoided resin dolls so far. But you're right...they are going to yellow over time nmw better to enjoy them then tuck them away in fear. In theory I'm totally okay with yellowing if it means I get to enjoy my doll...I have loads of convos on this subject my boyfriend...but for some reason I'm still a little anxious about it. However I don't think it will deter me any longer, honestly. And quite honestly, if my $150 doll yellows I'm fine with that. It would bother me a lot more of it was my $400 doll...

But I digress :)
