Dollieh temptations and plans

Right now my doll plans are to pare down the family til I can move much more easily and with less trouble to others.

I do believe there is a 3 story 1/6 scale dollhouse sitting on top of a platform so it doesn't get dust bunnies in the kitchen and a storage tub of furniture is waiting to go in to it. Don't know how many years it's been since I set up the doll house but the gang is ready to move back in and see how many new groceries I got for them.

Instead of having my back to the room, in the last two places my desk was right inside the door for reasons, my desk is now in a corner and facing the doll house. Last time it was like this I was in a fury of doll projects, some of which are still unfinished.

Loyal Subjects, a little toy company that usually focuses on action figures, has recently been dabbling in dolls. They have two really good mini doll lines going on so far, Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite. I have a Rainbow Brite doll, and I love it! the articulation and detail is amazing!

What I'm super excited about, is Loyal Subjects recently announced they cut a deal with Hasbro so they could make brand new Jem and the Holograms dolls!

She looks amazing and I've wanted Jem dolls since I was small, but I was born just a little too late to get them. Aside from the originals, the only other official Jem dolls are Intregity Toys, and they are way out of my budget. So I'm incredibly excited to see Jem dolls from the Loyal Subjects! The articulation looks good, and she comes with a stand and two outfits! I really hope to get my hands on this Jem doll next year, and hope they'll make the whole band!

As someone who recently got into Jem and the Holograms, this is so exciting! Any idea on what scale she is?

The original ones were basically Darci dolls, a bit taller and more robust than Barbie, so hopefully she's 1/6. I'm glad she isn't dainty looking like the Integrity was. There was something drag queen about them where this one feels more feminine and more Jem.

As for getting your hands on an original I have a couple of extra Jem/Jerricas, and possibly a few others, that I might be able to part with later. Meanwhile they're safe in the closet with my Darcis.

When the Liv dolls came out I managed to luck in to getting enough wigs to have Jem and the Holograms and The Misfits. Now days with all the choices in Fashionista Barbies and/or reroots I'd honestly point people in that direction. That way you could do the comic book bodies if you wanted.

Man, no I'm really wanting to work on customs again . . . My summertime seasonal depression is ending, I think. (I don't know why I apparently get seasonal depression in SUMMER instead of winter, leave it to me to be the weird one.)

I'm really considering grabbing up one of the Create a Monster vampire boys and turning him into a custom Kieran Valentine, since I am NOT paying the current secondhand price for that set.

Considering how much I absolutely DESPISE the heat, this tracks. I'm built like one of those seals they train to pay its belly for fish, I am NOT made for the heat.

The next contestants to play will they stay or will they go? Getting in to the closet and trying to make sense of what's going on with the dolls and their stuff is the next round in how I hurt my back this time.
