They don't seem to be very great with the adding thing. I'm still waiting on them to even reply to tell me when my bodies will ship. It's two weeks now and I've heard nothing and it's not like I have face ups for them to do or that I ordered an odd color or something. All they have to do is put two bodies in a box and mail them. I don't mind waiting so much as I don't like not knowing. It's not the first email they haven't answered either. I asked once about the bodies before I ordered them and once about their payment system and neither email was even acknowledged. I am beginning to think that they just don't answer emails most of the time. I'm not feeling too warm and fuzzy about them as a company right now...
Actually, Miro is incredibly fast for a BJD company.
Magkelly-san, BJD resin companies are different than normal doll companies in that the dolls are not 'ready to ship.' They actually don't already have the dolls to just box up and ship.
Once you pay, then they make the dolls and perhaps even later they start, if there's a backlog and you have to wait in line for your turn for your doll(s) to be made, which there almost always is.
From my experience, Miro is incredibly fast! Most BJD companies take almost 2 months at least before they ship and some take up to 6 months. I've even heard people say some took 9-10 months before their dolls shipped! And during sales, it's even longer.
Somehow, Miro is coping with their orders and still completing the orders within 30-40 days. Amazing! I don't know how they're doing it! And for so low a cost! I guess they're just wanting to get their name out there, by selling dolls at so low a price---they can't be making much, if any, profit.
Anyway, also, they actually don't charge shipping when you order. They charge it later, when they're going to ship.
TurtleJen-san, did you order through their shopping cart or did they send you a paypal invoice? If you paid from their site through a cart, then you probably didn't pay the s/h cost yet. Their cart is crazy in that it only charges you for the doll(s) without s/h. Then later, when they're ready to ship, they send you another paypal invoice for the shipping.
I just ordered a Miro 68cm body for $124 the other day, and the s/h will be $40 according to their calculations.
But their cart only charged me the initial $124. I paid it via paypal, and will still have to pay the $40 once they are ready to ship my doll, when they send me a new invoice for $40.
I've ordered from them four separate times, and that's their method each time. Pay just for the doll upfront and then the s/h later on.
Did you pay them twice? (First for the doll, then for the s/h?) Or if not, check the price of the first payment you made---it is just the doll total without s/h included? I just know that all 4 times I ordered, the shipping was paid for later on in a separate transaction. Maybe that's what's happened with your order, too?
