so i've had the notion for quite a while now to get hold of one of the old mid-90's-ish TAKARA "Tokimeki Memorial"
27cm. dolls from the early-1990's Japanese Visual Novel series by KONAMI corp.

i always was quite fond of the Sailor Suit design from this series,
and figured that the identical suit from any one of the several dolls in the line
should just about readily fit my 27cm. OBITSU-based Darling Mikuru Asahina.

well, after being on the back burner for so long,
i finally got around to finding one at a good price, -around $36shipped- and some photos of a TM doll
fitted to a 27cm. OBITSU BODY that proves that the suit should fit my Mikuru
pretty much as well as i hoped it might.

now, i -might- need to extend the sleeves out just a smidge,
and i'll definitely be replacing that yellow bow with a pink one,
but on the whole i think Mikuru ought to end up looking just precious in it;

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I am doing an internal happy dance. In the "in stock" section of Mirodoll there happened to be a one-off Mika in "dark tan." Now this dark tan was even darker than their creamy chocolate, which means I am getting a really important character in my stories! Josephine! The face sculpt isn't my favorite but to find a skin tone in that 80% dark chocolate shade is nigh impossible. I was going to have to spend a million dollars at Iplehouse and I'm too cheap to do that. So I'm super excited and since she was in stock I think she'll arrive pretty soon. I've had a wig for three years now (I think) so to finally get the doll is pretty awesome. I'm rambling.

Thank you! I'm really excited. Mirodoll is really nice and she was only $190 and that's including shipping. Can't beat that with a stick! I thought I was going to have to compromise and get the same skin tone as Abe. I'd even emailed Bobobie to get the ball rolling. Now I'm glad they didn't respond and I didn't follow up right away. hehehehe
