I have been indulging in the semi-traditional holiday shopping spree (it's become a thing here to get xmas gift funds early, and spend the holidays picking out one's own gifts... saves giftwrap, mess, and the general paranoia and irritation that comes with actual gifts when you come from a line of overly suspicious and extremely picky people)

Providing I have not been ripped off in some way (I have the expected luck that comes with Celtic ancestry - good, bad, and ugly! And then, y'know, ebay... I always have a few doubts until the item actually arrives. Plus the seller listed her as AA but the pic was caucasian... but they have a good seller rating, so I took the chance there was just a goof somewhere, and I don't care which one I get.), then as soon as she arrives I can finally take Happy Family Pregnant Midge off my wishlist and start learning to sew 1/6 scale maternity clothes!

She's lacking the baby, but the magnet belly is there, and the babies show up on ebay a lot for about $10 or so each, so that'll be easier to pick up... (maybe in about nine months. XD )

I also picked up these, mostly for the heads as the bodies are not in great shape (sounds like the AA girl is having vinyl breakdown issues on the legs). But I really just loved the face on the girl on the left and couldn't pass up. I already have ideas for her...

she comes from a fellow Anime doll enthusiast on another forum i frequent. she has a lovely custom face-up
and a blouse/skirt/tights/boots outfit from the Anime that wasn't originally included with this doll.

she will be coming my way from Europe after Christmas, so stay tuned...

I ordered myself a couple Ever After High Raven Queens for Christmas. I ordered the Legacy Day one and the Enchanted Picnic one. I'm going to keep my favorite faced one and all the clothes and rehome the naked dolls I don't want. You know me, always trying to keep my headcount down. I tried to find the clothes sold separately, but it cost the same as getting a new doll. If it costs the same, I'd rather get a brand new doll and find a new home for the extra doll after.

I'm very excited to get into the Ever After High dolls. My sister collects Monster High now and they can all hang out together and share some things. I love Monster High in concept, but I just can't dig their hard edged facial sculpts. The Ever After High rounded sculpts appeal much more to me.
