She is beautiful.

I put them in two categories. Expensive and More Expensive. :P When you want ALL THE DOLLS like I sometimes do and have to choose just one, it doesn't matter how much they cost. All that matters is that I can't have them all.

THE ONE will suddenly appear and things will align to get them. It happened that way with my Xavier inspite of car bills and other setbacks. He was my 13th "custom" and arrived on Halloween. Then I found the perfect eyes, perfect shoes, perfect wig. He goes out a lot because of his size and he's been called beautiful, even though he's stained, yellowed, showing his age, and perfectly loved.

I love Mei too, and Ya, her human eared version. The only thing I don't much like about Resinsoul is their white resin - one of my first dolls was a Mei in white and I ended up selling her as I just didn't like the colour. I now have a Ya in light tan - who has just got a double jointed body. I'm debating whether to sell the single jointed one or get a Rong head and some horns and have a sheep-goddess inspired doll... (who would be mostly just standing or sitting around, so I'd be less fussed about her being single jointed)

i know nobody's responded to this thread for a while, but what do you guys think is the advantage of buying an expensive doll or a cheaper doll versus their price counterpart, besides the social stigma that comes with an expensive doll?? like, are they made of a certain resin that is stronger? are they generally more pretty? what about cheap dolls? easier to bond with? more durable? where does the hierarchy of expensive = good come from??? i see a lot of it ...

in my opinion, i like cheaper dolls better because i would have more money left over after buying the doll to get her/him/them clothes <333 i've also found that when i buy things that are cheap, whether it's a stuffed animal or a skirt, i can bond with it better because i'm not constantly thinking about how much was spent on it. i have a sakuya izayoi action figure from griffon enterprises that i got when i was younger, and i can't look at her and say that i love her because all i can think about is how much i paid for her.

There's no stigma to the price you pay for a doll, it's about the attitude people take that expensive=best and cheap=inferior. It's all about buying the doll that's right for you and loving it.

The only thing that stood between me and bonding was size. By the time I buy a doll I've thought long and hard about the sculpt and who I want the doll to be so it's not something I enter in to lightly.

As long as a post isn't many months or years old and you have something substantial to add you're welcome to.

I don't think there's any way of knowing if you are going to bond with a doll until you get it. I've bonded with inexpensive dolls and not bonded with expensive ones. For the most part, I get a doll to fit a character and unless that particular doll makes me squee just to have it, if another doll comes around that fits the character better, then I'm more likely to switch them out with little regret.

For example, I'm in search of a slim SD boy doll for my "girly boy" character. It's driving me crazy because I'm being so particular - i.e. I want a Jr. Delf boy size with a Delf adult look. And the facial sculpts I like all seem to have the wrong measurements. So I'm being my own worst enemy now.

I bonded more with my custom than my fullset even though they are suppose to be the same character(Obi-Chun! Stop gloating). I suppose the work that goes into a custom characters plays a part especially when you spent a long time searching for that right sculpt and then seeing it leap at you yelling "I your Dollieh!!!!!!" The whole thing how about you see your character in that sculpt and how the company see it (if its anime/media/story) based

I had the chance to see the Iplehouse Dexter Basic realskin poster boy in full gear when someone brought him to a recent doll event. I like the real skin guy and he looks hot and stuff(tall, dark and handsome did ambush me into buying my dude afterall). But he was clearly not my normal skin guy(blond and in casual plain outfit that day to match his 'son') and didn't feel like my character to me. I forgot to ask if my dude could take pics together even though we were a few booths apart.

Have you seen the new 50cm line from Immortality of Soul, Kirahfaye? I'm hoping to get one when they get released around 12/22, the Cho sculpt. They don't have pics on the website, but if you go to their "workspace tumblr" it's there.

I worry that 50cm will be too small. I want him to look like a slim, shortish 19 year old in comparison to a normal 62-65cm boy.

Have you considered a Souldoll Vito in that regard?

I had wanted a Class50 IOS but they are taking long enough that by the time I ordered my vito, I still have yet to see their muscle body version
