It's a quite long time I wanted a Vito sized (around 50 cm) boy for my crew, but never found a mold that made me fall in love.
Souldoll Lester is beautiful, but didn't conquered my heart. Batchix 50 cm guys are gorgeous, especially the newer ones, http://batchix.g36.net/?page_id=1006 but I fear they will be too realistic for my crew.
I almost fall for Souldoll Berial, some time ago, but resisted.

But... but I saw Souldoll Jin, a few days ago, and I'm charmed. He's so handsome! And those lips!

I'd like to see how the blank head looks like, because it's the blank head that tells you how good is the sculpt (at least, it's the way it works for me) but I already keep going to his page at least one or two time a day. So there are good chanches he I'll be my next doll, after the Aimerai Virginia I'm going to order...

Hrmm I'll hold off on any spending for about a month in case a better sculpt pops up - though the decision now is whether to splash out on an actual Hot Toys head or go for one of the cheaper custom heads, hrmm I'll sit on that decision - since if I got a custom head I'd happily attempt a change of eyebrow positions but less so with the Hot Toys, yet oddly the Hot Toys looks far more Wingfield esque than the cheaper ones

Happy to say I didn't get ripped off on Ebay and that I now have a pregnant Midge. She was Caucasian as pictured, not AA as listed, which is probably why no one else beat me to her. I was willing to take the chance since I really didn't care about the skin color. I should try to post some pics soon. She has no baby with her, but... that's a wish list/planning update now.

Replacing her at the top of my wishlist are plans to save for and hunt down a Becky, aka the Barbie in the wheelchair. I'm already watching several on Ebay... (My wishlist also, as always, contains a ton of playscale vinyl, especially anything poseable that I don't already have.... I'm watching a couple 'Pure Neemos' too... anyone have any advice on those or how they look next to, say, kid-sized obitsus or Barbie Stacie dolls?

Depending on whether you hunt down a XS(21cmish), S(23cm) M(25cmish) or an L size(27cm). I have a S size and she's chubbier than my Obitsu. She fit Barbie/Jenny size clothes

Flection Full Action S size With 25cm M bust Obitsu in stretchy Moxie girls(at least I think its girls and not teens) pants and jacket. Pants are on the long side. Off hand I can't remember if blue hair Kula had swapped over to the 23cm body at this point in time.


Their range of motion is slightly less than an Obitsu since they were built with aesthetic in mind, but that hasn't stop my neemo from giving my Obitsu a run for their money. I don't mind her anime looks since cat girls are allow to bend the rules.

Another thing about Pureneemos. Have you rummage through the abyss known as Mandarake?

As a careful doll owner who somehow broke a 21cm azone's foot, (and no, I was not in any way rough with the doll, her joint got stuck in her socket and next thing I know...snap!) I'll back up what Iwa_Hoshi said. Azone has really smooth joints, and are more aesthetically pleasing, just keep in mind they're not as posable as an obitsu and you have to be a little more careful with them. Don't let that stop you from getting a Pure Neemo though, they are so cute, and so worth the money, so long as you realize their limitations.

As for how they look next to obitsus, I found this article to be pretty helpful. ==>http://www.nonaptime.com/2015/05/review-azones-picco-neemo/ It doesn't really talk about Pure Neemos specifically, but it does feature some helpful charts and information about them and how they compare to obitsus. I'm in the same boat as you are when it comes to my male obitsus. My preference is to work with a pre-rooted head, but Parabox doesn't have green or platinum blonde. I'm thinking of just getting a sliver or something and dying it, (which I'll only attempt if my Menma to Schneewittchen transformation goes well) but tbh I don't really like the shape of the pre-rooted heads from Parabox, not for Alois and Tettere anyways. The only heads I think will work shape wise are for glass eye dolls, and idk, I think it'll look weird having two dolls with glass eyes and the rest with decals. Parabox is the only one I know who sells obitsu heads, so I'm at a bit of a loss as for what to do. I'm thinking of looking for a custom head, but I'm not even sure where to look. If you do get a custom head, let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the Neemo info! I'm looking to add a couple more 'kids' to my shelves, so it looks like a couple XS's, or maybe an XS and an S for variety, will be kept on wishlists while I save for them. XD (I'm big on variety on my shelves, hence why wanting something different than the Obitsu I have for the next kid. XD)

The two 'kids' on the shelves so far are Billy - a 21cm obitsu with a repainted Barbie head, and Amy - a skateboard Stacie Barbie (which is one way to get a poseable 18cm tall girl, if you don't mind one hip joint being kind of weird/loose and the shoes being permanantly molded on). I'll definitely look for a Volks head, thanks! As for your dolls, they're super cute! But I think I'm going to try using instamorph to cover the eye sockets. If that doesn't work and my quest for the 1/6 Volks heads fails I might just go with glass eye dolls.

A repainted Barbie head on a 21cm obitsu you say? Hmmmmm...do you by chance have pictures of the doll? It might actually be the solution I'm looking for.

EDIT: Oh I almost forgot, I finally decided what I'm going to do about the Vocaloids! I think what was bothering me the most was Luka, I couldn't find an outfit for her from a song that focuses on her, stuck with me, and fit into my Black Butler theme, unlike everyone else. But after a few hours of looking into her various song list I think I finally found something. I am absolutely in love with her second outfit in Doku Ringo to Cinderella, and there's already some good reference pictures for it. It is a little modern, but I think it works with my theme, the song is catchy, and I like how the focus is on her, it's not a cover and she's not just a side character or anything else that I was avoiding. I probably won't replicate the style in her face-up, but I think it'll all still mesh together nicely.

Quite an interesting lineup on the Vocaloids. It does get me wondering how are you going to do hair. root,reroot or wig. If you do rereoot either neemos or Obitsu, just be careful and go slow to avoid adding on further damage to the parting area.
