Leave it to DS to make a thread which would have turned ugly on other sites into something awesomely humorous that never fails to make me chuckle.

I once bought cutlery made from corn starch for my department at work. The forks were ok, the knives were awesome, but the spoons tended to dissolve when you ate soup or something really warm with them :(

Bacteria Poo Plastic for the win! hahahahaha

The tines might be too delicate for Sculpey. I've tried making cutlery out of it and somehow it always breaks in the end even if I varnish it. Though using those new metal clays might be fun. I'm not dexterous enough to carve tiny sporks out of wood, but while I am making molds for and casting shoes, and hopefully not asphyxiating myself, maybe I should try making a clear resin spork? I could probably carve out a mold for one in clay a lot easier than I can carve some wood ones, though I have done my share of the latter. Tiny is hard for me though. I did really well with hair sticks, knitting needles and even crochet hooks until I tried to make a really small crochet hook. It wasn't pretty the end result of that little experiment and making a tiny spork has got to be a lot harder I would imagine...

I tried making a jointed sporknife with cloud clay. Didn't work out very well, but in theory, if the thing fits well enough, it should be fine. What I'm thinking is the knife part on other side of the sporkife folding in to handle of the spork (sideways, like those foldable knives) and having a small rod through both the folded part and handle part and fixed on outside of the handle.
Long story short, overly complicated sounding sporknife that probably shouldn't be cast in metal because the scraping sound would drive people nuts.

The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

I'm just gonna try making a dollieh sized spoon take one of my new exacto knives and cut the fork parts out bake and pray to god they at least look good enough for photographs...Plus easier then trying to make something with colors I don't posess (cakes, hams that stuff...I wanna make it - Don't got enough clay/required colors for it.)

EDIT: Hey if it turns out well..I may make them whacky earrings.
