Mohair wigs: where to buy? [for me]

Postby versora » Fri Jul 18, 2014 11:19 pm

I want to get a mohair wig for my doll apx. 10 inches of hair. Any ideas where I can get a reasonably cheap one. I need an SD sized about 23 cm head. I already looked on Etsy. I dunno if this question goes here or not. My mom is wanting to know what I want for my birthday/Christmas [early for both, but yeah, she wants to get it while the getting is good].

Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated. PS: I hate short hair. No offense to short haired people, I just can't play with short hair.

I know there are a few sellers on eBay and also on Den of Angels. I don't currently know of any online shops that sells them. Hopefully someone else does.

Carrie Atwood, who lives in England, sells under the Etsy store called The Sleeping Elf - https://www.etsy.com/shop/sleepingelf?ref=offsite_badges&utm_source=sellers&utm_medium=badges&utm_campaign=en_isell_3. She is more than happy to do custom wigs (she does more customs than anything else), so if she doesn't have anything in her store that you are looking for, contact her via Etsy. Just an FYI, she usually doesn't work on the weekends.

Tatsu Kitty (here and DoA) also makes custom wigs. I have one of hers and it's great.

I've also found really long mohair wigs on Ebay.

Ah, cool. I did find a wig, but it's like 38.00 dollars on Etsy. I love it, but mom doesn't want to pay that much for a wig, and I hate conceding abd buying a synthetic hair wig. I hate fake hair, so hard to care for.
