Backdrops!

Postby Trethowan » Fri Jul 25, 2014 9:35 pm

Hey guys, check these out.

http://www.raihing.com/

I bought three different backdrops. When they get here I'll take some pics and give them a review. I hope they work out well. There's also a section where you can customize your own and they print it for you. Seems pretty cool.

Eventually I'll get into green-screening, but for now I need something that's pretty quick and basic.

You'll love them, I think :)

I have slightly too many of them (I've not tried getting a custom one done yet).

Oh - one thing! They arrive rolled up tight in a hefty cardboard tube that is just the right length, and the only thing holding them in is a sizable quantity of brown parcel tape - go careful removing it (ie don't stick something sharp in the middle and start cutting thinking there'll be a plastic lid there.)

I only utilized a background once, when I used wrapping paper for my family holiday pic. I really should try more...

I love backdrops. My dolls are much smaller, so a printed 8x10 will fill a window for most of my dolls. I can use pictures on my tablet for backdrops for Richi. I have been taking a lot more landscapes lately. :D

Fun pics, guys. :-) Hopefully these things will help me out with my photostories. I could probably make my own smaller ones for the chibi gang. Ha!

I got one from them and love it! And now I want more. :D Can't wait to see what you got and how it looks.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

You can also get nifty papers from the scrapbooking sections in craft and hobby stores.

Ooh, that's a great idea. I actually have a pile of that stuff somewhere back when I thought I'd start scrapbooking. (I never printed the pictures. it was seven years ago. I'm terrible.)
