I've never heard of this brand before. Iwa sent me a link on Facebook to show this new gal. I'm really impressed with the silicone in the jointing and the overall design of the doll. The hips seem a little off to me, like she's sitting on top of her legs a bit, but look at the way the elbows and knees are designed. There's even a tooth plate that can go in or out of place. Interesting!

What do you guys think about this one? How about that price tag??? Ouch!

I've not heard of the brand. Any of you fine folk have any experience with these folks?

Seriously. This guy is painted so well he almost careens right into Uncanny Valley. hahahaha

I've not got any of his more recent sculpts - but I do have the stereotypical Saint! (Um Dollshe did the Saint, Hound, and Husky if those mould names ring any bells)

I got him during their big "discontinuation" event when everything was a lot lot cheaper - and despite the massive influx of orders they must have had at the time he arrived pretty quickly. Their "old-style" resin is pretty hefty/feels pretty nice and matte, but I can't speak for their new "honey skin".

The quality of the resin/moulds at Dollshe is pretty awesome, and he came with a spare set of elastics that match his skin colour!

My Whipsering Grass Thomas head is also technically manufactured by Dollshe, since they did all the casting, and again the resin is thick and matte.

Denver Doll carries them now and does layaway.

Dollshe Hound is the reason I have my OD Tae-he is as close as I could get in a size that I could carry.

I don't have any, but Saint has been on my list since for quite awhile.
The DOA discussion thread on them is always busy, so I assume people who have them like them.

I went to a doll meet YEARS ago and one of the ladies had a lovely DS Hound. The resin quality seemed to be incredible, and the detailing on their molds is awesome.

I was actually able to see a green dollshe guy at the Chitown dolls(bjd forum) club table at the Naperville doll show. I think it was the Grant-Philipe sculpt. The green color was amazingly nice, and of course the sculpting of the body was amazing. I think I fangirl-ed a bit over how amazing their hands and feet are.

AAAAHH... YES. Those names DO ring a bell. I didn't see them on their page so I guess that threw me off. I read up on some of their history at the DoA wiki. It's cool that they're the first to make the classic lean and sexy 70cm male style that everyone else emulated.

I haven't see the photostories, Richila, but I'll check them out. I'm always a fan of a good story. Speaking of, I need to shoot my next one before I forget what I wanted to do next.

The green looks really cool, actually. I don't know what I'd do with a green guy. Maybe make him a dragon king or something. <3

I've been lusting after Dollshe from afar since I first got into BJD, (Bermann is still my ultimate grail doll). I had a 2nd hand Van head for a while, but ultimately sold him (poor boy had been bodiless for a year lol).

I've done faceup work on a few over the years and the resin is a dream to paint.

*also-I thiiiiiink the Grant Phillipe you linked was painted by SDink. She has an army of Dollshe boys and they're all ridiculously gorgeous!

Nice!!! I really like a smooth resin for painting. I was sad that Granado, as expensive as they are, were so rough to paint. I'm equally surprised that Mirodoll, as cheap as they are, are so smooth and wonderful. hehehe... you never know what you're going to get.

If money were no object I think I'd just start a head collection and buy all the beautiful sculpts and display them in a case. I'd rotate them on a few bodies from time to time.

I actually like a little tooth to the resin when I paint sometimes-I think it's all of those years painting on rough canvas XD
Dollshe's resin is sort of...creamy? feeling though. It's really fun to work with.
