How many pairs of shoes do your dollies have?

I bring this up because I found a seller for doll shoes that I actually like the styles and price of, and I wanna buy a ton of shoes for Amiga, but I don't know what's too much or not enough. How many pairs do you usually buy for your dolls? What sorts of occasions should I plan ahead for? What shoes do you regret getting? I wanna hear all about your dolly shoes!

Hmmm.....

It depends on the doll----if it's one of our 1/6 anime dolls, they only have their one outfit and pair of shoes and never change their attire, but always display in our curio cabinets.

If it's our 1/3 anime dolls, same thing---though they do have one or two changes of clothing each, so they might have two pairs of shoes-----formal and school wear.

Now, our 1/3 portrait bjd dolls have about.....5-6 pairs each. Dressy boots in two colors, sneakers, sandals, dress formal, and hiking boots. Mainly, whatever their 'seiyuu' (real life counterpart) wear in photos, we then go and try to find matching 1/3 doll shoes for their 'dollie' counterpart. ^^

I think, the more the merrier in terms of shoes!!!! ^^

I have a LOT of shoes. Some dolls have only one pair, but most of them have casual and formal shoes. And then there are shoes to go with special outfits. Hazel and her sisters have many pairs. I haven't counted them, but Hazel has bunny houseslippers, plain houseslippers, sandals (several pair), high heels (including clear "glass"), short boots, tall boots, thigh high boots (several pair), moccasins, tabi socks and geta, and sneakers (several pair). Probably she has over 20 pair of shoes. She has been known to share them with other dolls, but they are hers as opposed to the shoes I purchased for those dolls. Elidor, Hazel's husband, doesn't have that many but he does have around 5 or 6 pair. I think that it depends on your budget, how long you have had the doll, and how much you like to change their clothes.

For my 1/6.... I lost count. the 21-27cm Obitsu can share shoes so they tend to get a lot of Jenny and the occasional Azone stuff. Granted no one's been wearing shoes for a few weeks now. The guys and the action figure ladies also share shoes in the terms of sport wear and unisex stuff.

As for Megu-Chun. She has 2 pairs of fave Obitsu magnet shoes. she has two pairs of boots, two pumps and some a pair of converse, she doesn't actively wear shoes unless she's going outdoors or working...

As for VR, he's suppose to share shoes with the new lady since he doesn't mind being barefoot... I have shoes planned for the the new lady but won't buy more until she gets here and tries her existing pairs. Would love some heels and ankle boots for her.

Jack the big dude has trouble finding shoes outside of company gear

Richi has at least one pair of shoes to go with every outfit. She needs more basic black shoes, but they are hard to come by. She has more than 1 dozen outfits-and I am constantly making more, so she always needs more shoes. Soon, I will have to give her shoes their own case. :D (She has also started collecting Cosplay for conventions. )

As I prefer to do most of my doll clothes and props and such myself, I have not that much of shoes. Shalunia and Grundis both have one pair of boots. Chandira, Fanella and Istyros go bare-hooved, so no shoes for them. Druid winterleaf will get also winterboots as I get some time to do those. For my scifi dolls I have planned to do at least few pairs per doll (plain and finer ones), but that's just a plan.

2 pairs for the twins, 3 pairs for the minis, they share the Chucks with Shi Shi, 2 pairs for Shi Shi, none for the tinies except the Puki Puki who has 2-3 pairs. Little Walken has his own pair, the Hujoo has her own pair, Homunculus Jimmy has his own pair of creepers. For the rest of the Littles it's what ever in the stash fits when they bother to wear shoes, not counting full sets like Elebenty etc. I don't wear shoes much so they figure they don't have to.

So, average is 2 pairs per doll. A casual pair and a formal pair. Common ones are boots, sneakers, and sandals. Others in mind are house slippers, high heels, and hiking boots.

I've got the perfect pair of sneakers in mind for Amiga, and I'm dying to get them, but trying to be responsible right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SD-Dollfie-Doll ... 19bdc4e137

I'd tried to buy each of my dolls a signature outfit but some guys have extra clothes to work with. Ryan has one outfit, poor guy. Micah has more. A few dolls have more than one pair of shoes. I bought loads of shoes for Jillian but she never gets to wear them. Jim has to wear baby shoes cause his feet are too big for doll brands. ha! I'd gone on a shopping spree a while back and got a few different things for everyone but I ended up not using a lot of what I'd bought. Now I just try to stick to the character's 'costume' requirement. I should probably sell off all the extra shoes I've accumulated over the years. I could probably buy an island in the Pacific with the proceeds. :-p
