Den Of Angels Help.

First of all this isn't an "I joined this forum to get a DOA invite" post, or asking for an invite - I know there are rules against it. So please don't hate me. I've looked over the rules and this doesn't seem to break them

I sent a request for an invite a few weeks ago and have had no reply. Any estimate on how long it will take. I've seen plenty of others complaning so I was wondering are they swamped with emails or have they stopped letting people who request in ?

From what I have seen/heard about Den Of Angels they seem to full of drama and I don't have bjds or plan to get any in the near future but I've heard there are some great tutorials and photo stories on there, although I'm still going to use dollieh sanctuary daily because everyone here is so nice.

Thanks
Lottie

Basically, they are slow. They are incredibly huge, so they have no real motivation to move quickly and I imagine they get a huge volume of requests daily. No way to give a time frame because it varies so much - you just have to be patient.

Thanks, I presumed something like that but worth asking right ? Hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

The Sanctuary has around 600 member. On average, DoA has over ten times that number of members logged in to their site! Their membership is over 40,000. That's a lot of dollieh talkin'.

Indeed, I wonder how many dolls that would be ? They've sent me a message saying an invite will be coming soon and a dollieh sanctuary member was sweet enough to also offer me an invite. Thanks so much for all your help.

No wonder when I did briefly try to be active on there I felt I couldn't keep up!

I wonder if the people who run that site have a full time job or if that is their full time job? I imagine even with a whole lot of assistants it'd be very time consuming. How would running a free forum become a bread winning job anyway? Advertising fees? Or maybe they're stay at home spouses? Or is it a much easier job then I think? Just curious. Anyone know?

DoA is selling ad-space, so that's one way they gather money - but I suspect that goes mostly fees to keep the site up.

I tried to find information how many moderators DoA has, but couldn't find any. But I suspect that they have quite a lot of them - that way they could keep them as volunteers, doing as much as they are willing to spend time. (This is purely suspection, as I don't have any knowledge about inner workings of DoA.)
