This week's Dollieh Question from our list. (viewtopic.php?f=41&t=6677)

7. What else do you find yourself collecting thanks to dolls.

Sometimes I'll buy something like a mini doll for a prop and they end up having a life of their own. This kind of happen to my Dawn doll.

I collect other things like action figures. I think having my dolls helps with picking a size because then I can even pose them together.

food and accessories for the 1/6ers and the 1/3ers

In some sense of the word cosplay outfits.

Because of them I hardly buy gshaphons, scale back on my my action figures, videogames and art books a whole lot. Somehow the whole cosplay thing is a result of them preventing me from getting too attached to any new anime I watch or game i play. They get new outfit and i get character of the moment as a doll

I collect Polly Pocket dolls now. I started collecting them as an excuse to have dolls for my dolls, but I'm not using them for that purpose at all LOL! I also collect mini groceries from a big Dutch supermarket chain that's having these mini groceries for a second time around, with every €15 of groceries you get a mini item, and most of them are perfectly in scale for MSD or SD. Plus, when I'm out shopping I find myself looking for props and cute fabric ALL the time. My favourite to collect is bracelets for my Minifee bodies <3, human rings that look like tiny bracelets are cheap and fun to collect!

Kid's toy accessories and repurposeables. Dolls are more an extension of previous miniature and craft addiction, but larger scales make use of so many things I never thought of before.

Doll furniture, clothing and toys for the tinies. Finn's got a little collection of LaLaLoopsie micro figurines and little bitty animals now. The clothing isn't as bad as it could be and the furniture surprised me. There's the bench, a smaller bench, two lounge/beach chairs, a rocking chair and an SD-sized high-backed chair.

Miniature stuff, lots and lots and lots of it! I've found a surprising amount of miniature things considering I've only been in the hobby for a few months. (Has it really been that short?)
Evelien, I'm seriously jealous of those miniature groceries. :D I found some decorative apples that look pretty realistic at a craft shop (I think they were supposed to be ornaments), but that's it so far.

Material and yarn and stuff like that. I've always liked to crochet and sew a little but now that I have dolls 90% of what I do that way is doll centric. I don't crochet afghans anymore. I crochet doll clothes. I used to have a sewing machine mainly for repairs and making things like curtains and pillows, easy stuff, but I'm learning to sew properly, how to actually use patterns now because of them. I want to make good doll clothes, not just makeshift ones. I don't have any people patterns but I have pattern software on my computer and I have a drawer full of doll clothes patterns. I guess eventually I'll probably get to making myself some clothes too, have in the past a few things, but right now I make more for the dolls than I do for me.
