Aww, there there. *Pats
Kae915's head.*
I haven't reapplied any eyelashes myself yet, but I saw in one face-up tutorial that if eyelashes are too long for the doll then she (the one that made the tutorial) just glues the eyelashes with the base actually sticking out inside the doll's head. Then she just folds the excess base up as she pops the eyes back in (basically the doll's eyes end up crushing a part of the eyelashes inside the head
).
And why did it take an hour? What brand of glue are you using?

My sympathies. I totally hate reapplying eyelashes on dolls. It always takes me forever too. I'm just not very good at it. Never have been. BJD's look like they might be a bit easier than fashion dolls though. I've had to do that a couple of times now because every now and again the eyelashes on a Mel Odom or Madame Alex fashion doll will fall off when I'm redoing the hair or something. Drives me nuts trying to do that, put them back on.

I actually sort of enjoy applying eyelashes, I just hate the wait for the glue to dry to put the eyes back in. The longest its ever taken me to apply eyelashes was 20 minutes, the shortest was a minute. Some dolls don't fight me at all on them, others I have to wrangle to get their eyelashes in.

I kind of did the same thing x___X Im using aleene's tacky glue. Part of the reason it took so long was because when I put the eyes back in, they pushed the eyelashes back out in one of the eyes.

It probably would have helped if I had waiting to wake up to do them
I was half asleep hehheh

Ah, no wonder. I love Aleene's tacky glue, but it takes forever to dry. >_>; *Thinks back on the waiting torture for doll magnets.*
I think almost all other types of white glue dry faster than that brand, and there was also a quick dry version of Aleene's tacky glue that a friend recommended to me.

I typically use superglue... It's removable with alcohol. I can understand hesitation, but I do agree that you need to use a fast drying brand.

I tried to put eyelashes on Clover once... lost one in the carpet and superglued the ever-living hell out of my fingers. Never messed with them again after that.
