I can't find the OOAK Deliah's wig and outfit that I set aside for her. I've been cleaning and organizing a lot this past week or so. Everything is topsy turvy. But I put that stuff in a certain box for when I finished her or I thought I did, grr. I swear some days I think I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached....

I hate when that happens to me! (Which is most of the time... >.<) I hope you find your stuff soon!

I hate when I do this too.

Hel, I even managed to lose one eye out of a pair that way, twice, both times I knew where one eye was but the other one was completely lost. Both times they were 10mm half spheres, and only one of those times I managed to find the single eye again. I also still haven't found my lovely green 16mm glass eyes I got as a default.. I may be a danger to doll eyes everywhere.

They'll put it back when they're done. The things you're looking for like to switch dimensions some times.

It's driving me nuts. I've been looking on and off now for 2 days and I still can't figure out what I did with it all. Poor girl, it takes me forever to get her face up done, her eyes back in and her lashes back on, then I lose her wig and her clothes? She's sitting here bald and naked and she is so not happy, but none of the other clothes et all I have look as nice on her. She's got such unique coloring that the regular stuff most of it just isn't "her" really. I think I'm going to have to buy her those brown boots she's been coveting at Suntek. She's been through a lot this doll, and it's all my fault, laugh. I think I owe her a little something just for her...

I lost my 23-21cm clothes for awhile until I found they were under other dolls in one of my storage drawers. When you find her stuff you should make her a trunk or something to keep her things in. Take a break from the search and look for something else, distract your mind, maybe do a general clean up or arrangement of everything.

She understands the frustration and forgives you, and some times dolls play tricks just to get extra attention.

I get into the same situation all the time!!
right now, I have no idea where my pastel set is so I can't do make up on my dolls! >_<;
But on the bright side, at least you've done a lot of organizing ^-^;;

It's getting there. All my fabric and sewing stuff is organized into bins now by type. I've got new huge shelf/dresser things that hold most of my clothes and that have a couple of larger shelves than can hold a nice sized collection of my big girls. I've got six sets of those cubes to configure and several folding bookcases, about a dozen new decorative hat boxes I can store stuff in. By the time I am done I think about 1/2 of my doll collection will finally be out of the plastic 30 gallon storage boxes and all of it will be categorized, organized, and properly arranged. It's a very big task task actually and that despite the fact that most of it was pretty well organized in the 30 gallon storage boxes.

I spent this afternoon putting away all the shoes that up till now I had no organizer boxes for and rearranging all the shoes by doll type and size. I'm estimating but counting the shoes they're currently wearing I think there are something like 500 pairs of shoes. No, I'm not kidding. I started doing a casual count and I was staggered to realize there were that many. Most of them are Barbie shoes, and there are a lot of Tonner type doll shoes, but there's quite a variety of other shoes too. It took me like 12 bead and baseball card boxes to organize them all and that's not even quite it I don't think because somewhere I have a bag of like 50 pairs of Barbie Basics shoes and a whole bag of Bratz shoes that I didn't count because they are off in a box somewhere that I haven't gotten to.

I'm actually sitting here now taking a break from organizing the big doll jewelry. I want to get that organized into some smaller bead boxes that I have by set and eventually I'll do the same with the Barbie jewelry too. I have a 3 gallon bags of small accessories that I have to go through too. I want to organize all that stuff by what it is so I don't have to go crazy looking for something when I want to do a shoot. I'll know where the drink cups and the mini coke bottles are, what bracelets and earrings are where, et all. It's just amazing to me how much STUFF I've collected since I started with a Barbie in like 2000. At this point I kind of feel like I need a whole room just for the dolls. I'd have to kick out my last roommate to get that though, and unless the dolls somehow start paying half my rent that's not going to happen, laugh.

I really had to start organising once I had so many dolls. I have a specific box for each doll (usually the one they came in) and then I have a communal clothing and wig box for odds and ends- I still lose stuff! I can totally understand looking for something you swear you put one place... Usually finding it in another place.

You must have some sort of determination to do that much organising magkelly, because I would honestly have given up after a few hours. Short attention span is short.

I'm not naturally very organized. Just the opposite. I have to make myself go there or I'm a total mess maker. I just hate not being able to find things and it's getting to that point. I've got so much disorganization happening that I've lost certain things. There's another wig I can't find, an outfit I love where the main dress has gone missing, a dozen half pairs of shoes that I can't find a mate for. My craft stuff it's so scattered between 6 different storage boxes that I end up buying stuff I've already got because I am not aware of what I have. Plus everything was stored in ugly gray plastic boxes that I really only meant for moving, not general storage.

5 plus years in this place and I was still living out of plastic storage containers. I still had not unpacked all my books, my clothes, my dolls, etc or organized any of my stuff? Please, it's way past time, lol. This isn't going to get done overnight and I know that but every little bit helps. I try to spend some time every day doing something. Today's job was going through and organizing all my yarn. Tomorrow I am going to clean out the very cluttered space where a washing machine and that is supposed to go (but that my park says I'm not allowed to have) and scrub the floor. I want to stack some bins in there, mostly my craft stuff and make room for some laundry bins besides. Right now my clothes are everywhere, on my dresser, on my desks, in my chair, in a mesh bag in the bathroom. It's ridiculous. I have to do a pickup raid through the entire house just to do my laundry and I probably even have dolls sitting under some of it. That's just how disorganized I can get if I don't really discipline myself.
