This week's Dollieh Question from our list. (viewtopic.php?f=41&t=6677)

30. While you were out shopping one day, a box on a high shelf falls on your head and knocks you out. You awake the next day with amnesia. You notice these dolls in your house. What happens next?

Hopefully they would spark a memory or two. But I'm pretty sure my dogs would cure me of my amnesia real quick. :)

Hmm...Probably would be the last thing on my mind is whose dolls they were I'd probably be running around screaming trying to remember my own name.

Starts wondering where am I and whats with these dolls. Probably wander around the house to figure out whats going on.

Probably not much. All my dolls are in boxes or doll bags in the closet. It'd probably be a while before I even got to poking around in there and find them.

First thing I'd do is check for a purse and an ID, so I'd know who I was. As for the dolls I am sure my liking them would transcend amnesia. I had a thing for dolls before I could talk, certainly before I had much of a sense of identity. My first thought would probably be something like "Hmmm, well whoever I am I obviously like cats and dolls." After checking out the purse and looking around I'd likely have a good grip on things even if I wasn't sure of all the details. I don't panic easily. If I couldn't remember I'd probably assume I had been injured. I'd be in the bathroom checking my head for bumps et all too...

If I was suddenly reintroduced to all of my dolls without having any recollection of them, I would honestly probably be creeped out. It took me two years to ease into the amount of dolls I have and I was just noticing the other day that man, I really do have a lot of them. Love them all, none of them are going anywhere, no regrets or anything, but it would be an adjustment to meet them all over again. Taking this hypothetical situation a little too seriously, after getting me to the hospital, my husband would probably actually bring me Taavi as a comfort item even if I couldn't remember him.

Even if I were so bad off I didn't know who I was my first impression of the dolls would probably be 'why is there a (doll) wanker in someone's living room?' I don't think I would find them any different aesthetically, but I would be uncomfortable with the nudity and perceived frailness.

Truth be told, I would probably be too concerned with who this kid calling me Mommy was and how the frack I got married.

Luckily for me, I fell in love with BJDs at first sight so I'm sure I'll fall in love with them again after losing all my memories (+extra happiness when I find out that they're mine? ).

But hopefully I will never suffer any sort of amnesia. I can't afford to have any sort of amnesia with my final exams just around the corner.

I'd probably fall in love with them all again. Though if I got amnesia, then I wouldn't remember watching anime. So I might think be confused by the fact that Finn has a boy bit. I'm guessing I'd be a bit creeped out by Benjy. I mean, a blank head just sitting there? Yeah, got to admit that without remembering the context, he'd be a very strange sight.

I would probably be more worried about who I am, but I would be intrigued and delighted figuring out all the beautiful dolls and their accessories! Obviously they are important since they are EVERYWHERE you look in my house. And I would definitely gravitate to Hazel since she is still my dream doll!
