Hey Dolly peeps,

I'm alive! LOL Sorry I've been MIA.

I am thinking about taking the plunge into Resin Dolly Ownership I am still doing a lot of the preliminary research. I thought I wanted Luts MSD but I keep on coming back to ResinSoul. I just honestly love their sculpts the most. SO. Can I have your thoughts on these dolls? Resin quality, posing, I know they are fairly slim...Do they typically need re-stringing or sueding? Looking for any helpful info :)

My Resin Soul Mei, Nefertari, is beautiful. I love the look of the body-the butt dimples slay me. I have the old single jointed body. I bouhgt my girl used in 2009. My girl has been hot glue sueded, restrung and wired.

She poses, well -but it did take some work. I feel she was worth it.

Richila she IS beautiful!!! I do sincerely love their sculpts. Wasn't aware of their butt dimples though :P I don't mind doing a little modding at all for the price, honestly...I want to explore modding a little anyways!!

I have both a Resinsoul Mei and Song (MSD girl and boy). They're such beautiful sculpts with elegant features. The first time I saw a Mei, I felt such a heart-tugging connection to her beautiful face. They're both slender and dainty and I love them so much :D

On the flip side, they're both single-jointed dolls and have some difficulties posing and holding poses. I find myself constantly tightening their elastic and have already restrung my Mei once--they're both a little floppy at times. Mei's fingers are also super slender (pretty, but delicate looking) and I'm always worried I'm going to snap one off, though luckily this hasn't happened yet.

Still, they're sturdy, well-sculpted dolls and make really good entry level resin bjds. Good luck!

ResinSoul bodies are amazingly beautiful! They're so slender and waiflike---they make perfect anime chara dolls!

My sis and I have 16x RS dolls (1x Tiny; 5x 60cm; 10x 70cm)and they never disappoint! I love RS!

They have a beautiful medium/light weight and feel, the seams are sanded completely, they pose very well once you tighten their strings and/or wire them and they're very detailed! The price is amazing for the beauty of their sculpting. The quality of the resin is great! I can compare it to many different brands we own as well, and it's just the same or better than most of them! I actually prefer it to the resin of ElfDoll, FantasyDoll, Kizdoll, Domuya---those all seem a bit slick and 'shiny' in their feel.

But of course, once you seal any doll, they all 'matte' nicely with MSC or Volks ZM spray. But, I mean, initially, without spraying a matte sealant, the RS is just as nice as most I've encountered.

The newer RS have double joints in their knees and elbows(at least the 70cm ones do), too!

Plus, they come in a wide variety of colors as well. (Cerulean Blue, pale blue, light green, pale pink, tan, dark tan, dark red, grey, normal and white.)

I guess you can see I recommend ResinSoul wholeheartedly. ^^

I'm a big fan of BBB and RS. I've got two BBB bodies (58cm female/Pandora and 60cm Apollo) and two RS, the 1:4 Wu and 70cm Feng. Edit. I LOL at me, I always forget the MSD Mei and the YoSD Pixiu boy. The Mei is in pieces, poor girl.

I think the BBB older style bodies are more sturdy and pose better but the RS are prettier. They are skinny dolls, even the 70cm is so thin normal 70cm clothes don't fit. He wears smaller 1:3 clothes but they're too short. LOL

I have issues with the knees and elbows of the RS design. I think the joint is too weak/thin on the inside because of the way it's designed (it's not a true peanut so it isn't very strong) and doesn't hold poses quite as well. They used to need restringing and sueding but I think the factory is using different elastics these days. My Feng (most recent purchase) didn't need any restringing. My older Apollo is the classic floppy doll.

I think anything else I say will be a repeat of what other folks are saying. They're great dolls and Junkyspot usually has a great selection in stock so you get one in under a week's time. Very nice!

I have mostly RS dolls, though admittedly most of my minis are being neglected because they don't fit into my dolly storyline at the moment. They're such cute little sculpts and so amazingly beautiful/versatile! You'll need to tighten them, if not restring/wire them, but once you learn the body (which is something you need to do for all types of dolls, at least that's what I think :)) you can get them in some great poses!

I don't have as many RS/BBB dolls as Setsunakou, but I have quite a few! I think I have four or five of the 26cm size and three or four of the MSD size (dark grey Mei, light blue Sprite, tan Song). I love the faces, the bodies and the color selection :)

I can't answer well about posing as I don't do that a lot with my resin dolls, but as others have said, for entry level resin you can't beat them!

Now, my Dai has a foreign head, but here's some posing shots I did a while ago.
I like her long elegant limbs and somehow she has an attitude - a little spunky.

I'm a fan! I have two SD bodies, two Sprites, Lu, a Mei who is semi-permanently visiting, and several tinies. The tinies don't pose too well. I love my Sprites, they have personality! And the Lu is fabulous! I have worked with their posability and differences, all dolls have them. I think they are great dolls, regardless of their price. I would definitely recommend them! I think their fantasy dolls pose amazingly well, better than other more expensive brands. The little Pixiu is fantastic! While I don't have one, I have played with one who was at my house while waiting for the birthday of her owner.
