annnd, not to double post - but now that I've learned denier is a fabric measurement, I wanted to know why I thought it was a monetary unit.

So I Googled it and discovered - We were BOTH right . Although the monetary denier is pretty old and no longer in use:

So, I've never made sock clothing before, but would very much like to try. For the record, sock clothing can be made from socks that are split apart, reshaped, seamed, and sewn and don't need to end up looking like human-sized socks (e.g. tube dress, tube sweater....) right? So long as the base fabric for all the outfits is "sock"? Hope that's not a silly question
