clothes advice

Postby llorcalon » Mon Jul 04, 2011 5:12 am

Howdoo, thought id ask for some advice.
Ive been looking into buying a BJD, but due to finances Ive had to resign myself to never owning one.
however imagine my surprise when i found this:
http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYKP-157
yeah its not a standard issue BJD, but but as I'm also a fan of one shot kill hoi-hoisan as well it fits perfectly.
however i was wondering what size clothing i should be looking for [she comes in at about 115cms tall or 4.5 inches tall] , and especially any clothes makers you guys and galls can recommended/avoid with a burning hatred.

I can recommend some elbow grease an make your own http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/t ... g/11384657

Most dolls in the 12cm are baby size. For the same price if not less you can get many of the tiny and 1/6 scale dolls at The Junky Spot http://www.junkyspot.com/obindex.html including Obitsu and Hujoo. Unless you mean BJD by the narrow rules set by Den of Angels.

We welcome every doll here, except naughty grown up ones, and don't have burning hatred for any of them.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with that size of doll so I can't tell you to much about them. It looks like it's a sort of "standard" tiny size, in which case it may fit the clothing made for Barbie's little sister Kelly. At least those are a cheap place to start :)

Now, I'm not sure what BJD you've been looking at, but they aren't all super expensive - of course what one considers expensive can really vary LOL. Back when I started with these I thought $100 was too much - now to me that's a cheap one!

Anyway, if you talk about what sorts of dolls you are looking for (I'd recommend a new thread) maybe we can help you find that it's not quite so hard a goal to reach.
