I'm thinking of getting/making a mini Freaky Frieda. Do Petite Blythe eyes change color? Does anyone know if the Littlest Pet Shop dolls are the same? Anything else I should know?

This one compares them well.

Caved and went with an LPS Blythe. This one has a certain smirk to her and it beats what I'd have to pay to ship a closer hair match. The eyes work well enough as Frieda kept her blues.

No, big Blythe's head is 9-10" like a 1/3 scale doll. *Derp, the LPS Blythe head does match that of my 1/6 girls.

According to Parabox, Petite Blythe uses the same size wig as Little Pullip:
http://www.parabox.jp/eng/wig.htmlI guess now you would just need to find a 4.5in wig that looks close to Freida's and then she will look close to her larger counterpart.

Looking at her LPS Blythe does have the same size head as the 1/6 custom dolls. Didn't have time to check with everything else going on because Frieda spends most of her time in a box and I just tossed her friend in. I didn't want to spend 3 times as much money on shipping a Petit.
All in all the LPS ones don't look bad, I can see popping a wig on one, will investigate if the head looks like it could be rerooted. There are strings of white curls at the craft store that would match Frieda, her mini would just need white hair.
*The LPS Blythe's head comes off easily, just a round ball on the top of her neck. The head is rather stiff and just slightly squishy which I assume would make rerooting a challenge but her hair is nice enough. The arms and legs move independently of each other. I would recommend one to anyone interested in a Petit Blythe type doll. Just tell Hasbro to cut down on the packaging next time.
