Well This Is A Total B----

I just love it when I buy a toy called "Switch A Witch" only to find I actually CANNOT switch anything on them. I got the white and yellow add on #1 girl with the silver eyes a while back. Then just recently I got the white and yellow #2 girl thinking I could just swap out all the white parts and yellow parts and wipe the paint on one torso and end up with one all white bodied girl and one all yellow bodied girl. (The head can body can be wiped I've found but the arms and legs are actually dyed.) I was going to wipe one torso and the yellow paint on the one doll and make an all white girl. I like the yellow okay for one doll but I wanted to do something else for the other one. Uhuh. The legs on these dolls, which were released in the same wave, as switchables, actually cannot be swapped because one doll is much shorter and smaller then the other.

I am too totally ticked. This just makes NO sense at all MGA!!!! So now I'm going to have to buy spray paint and paint the parts on each doll or forget it and live with two half yellow dolls. Not only that they don't really match 100% otherwise. The colors on the second doll are brighter and the hands look like they are from a slightly different mold. The arms are about the same length but they look odd paired the other way because the colors are off and the one hand is slightly smaller. I'm thinking maybe there was a redesign at some point to make the dolls smaller, probably to cut down on manufacturing expenses, but it is really dumb IMHO to release dolls that are supposed to be swappable that can't be swapped. It totally negates the point of these dolls being add on kits for the dolls in the 2 doll packs. You put these two beside each other and the add on looks like the other one's little sister the size difference is so pronounced.

On the bright side they finally did get the matte varnish thing right. I finally got my can of Liquitex matte varnish and I can now work on the face ups for my BJD's...
