Maya- Cherry Pie

Postby Geektopian » Mon Nov 11, 2013 11:18 am

I finally got a chance to take some OK-looking photos of my latest Pure Neemo girl, Maya. As the title of this post says, she's the Cherry Pie version of what seems to be a new dessert themed collection in the Sahra's Ala Mode series. This purchase almost didn't happen since, as is sometimes the case with these dolls, the big Japanese online retailers all sold out within moments of posting her for pre-order. Gone In 60 Seconds isn't just a cheesy movie about car theft, it should be the story of what happens when non-media character Neemos go on pre-order.

Anyway, I think Maya is a as cute as all heck but she'll probably be my only Sweets ala Mode girl. She's in her full outfit here but I'm not sure how long she'll stay dressed this way. I have some other PN clothes I've collected over the years I'd like to try out on her.

For now, enjoy some (mediocre) pics:

In my humble opinion your pics are great! She's so adorable! I love her eye color, and it feels like it pops the color even more with all the red in the cute dress!

Thanks, I'm glad you like the photos! I guess I'm my own worst critic.

I love her eye and hair color combination which is a lot of the reason I just had to have this version.

Yes the color combination is wonderful and the hair cut itself is so cute too! :D And I definitely think we're all our own worst critics lol!

She is a cutie! Bright and cheery. :) So she's one of their articulated bodies-what do you think of its posability?

She's adorable. I like green eyed girls.

You haven't met Choco Mint have you?

If anything I learn from my doll group is that 1st/2nd hand Neemos tend to pop up on Mandarake. So they're not totally gone.

Yeah, I briefly debated getting Lycee Chocolate Mint but I think I'd like to wait and find another girl with a different theme. She's also really cute but since I have Maya, I felt they'd be somewhat similar looking. Besides, I really liked the Blueberry Ice version but she's a "store direct" doll and not easy to buy in the US. Thanks for the link to Mandarake, I'll definitely check them out.

Hey Jill! The posability is OK but not quite what I'm used to with Obitsus. The shoulder joints are a definite improvement over my Minami-sensei but I've had limited time to put either of them through their paces. I guess the closest analogue in terms of function would be the first generation Cy Girls but without the torso joint.

BTW Iwa, I had a chance to browse around Mandarake and... holy heck! That place is just awesome. I think I'm going to have to retire to my fainting couch for a spell.

Thanks again for the link!

Thanks, David! They're not a purchase I have in mind for anytime soon, but the information is good to have.

No prob, just spreading some Neemo poison. Anyway, if you copy and paste the Katagana for Pureneemo /Azone /Obitsu/Volks/etc.. into the English site more stuff would show up. Not sure if you can buy from their Japanese language site though.

Thankfully the Dollfie Dream Alna I wanted never did.
