A few months ago I posted about my Barbie and the Rockers DeeDee that I rebodied on a 25cm articulated Simba Super Model doll? Well, there are 4 different Super Model girls with different skin tones. I recently acquired the last one and now I've been switching around heads to see what works.

Last time someone asked whether an 80s Skipper head would work on a Super Model body, and I thought it wouldn't since her neck and head hole are too small. Now I tried Hadley and Isla's heads (from 12 Dancing princesses) and that worked even though they have the smaller neck too, so maybe Skipper's head wouldn't need modifying either? My Skipper has a neck crack so i haven't tried her.

You can tell the neck on the left is a bit too big.
Neck looks slightly funny with head tilted forward.

It's a tight fit and I'm not sure how the stress will affect the vinyl in the long run, but the neck articulation works fine. The super model body isn't quite as elegant as the original, of course. Neither Sarah or Juls match the twins' skin tone perfectly, but then neither did the original body. (Skipper is more pinkish than the super model dolls, at least mine is. Original shoes wouldn't fit and clothes are hit-and-miss.)
Also I decapitated DeeDee again and used her Bel body for an Only Hearts Club Briana Joy. The head is a bit too light and looks slightly green in comparison (plus she's too tall), but it's the best replacement for her cloth-with-wire body I've come up with so far.

...and that's what I've been up to lately.
