Catwoman Pullip Doll (lots of pics)

Postby CrazyYoungCatLady » Fri Oct 16, 2015 8:00 pm

I've thought Pullip dolls are super cute ever since I got into the more expensive realm of the doll hobby back in 2009 or so. I finally broke down and bought one. I went with Catwoman because I thought her face was really sweet.

A few complaints/concerns:
1. The catwoman cowl is too small for her head! It won't fit.
2. She isn't the same size as a Blythe doll as many sellers on Etsy/eBay would have you believe. I have some Blythe sized clothes for my Hujoo that I tried on my Pullip and for the most part they fit, but sleeves, skirts, and pants are much too short for her. It makes finding patterns a little more challenging.
3. She's super top heavy. She won't stand or sit on her own without putting her on a stand or propping her up against something.

That said, my mom's vintage skipper clothes and shoes fit her pretty well. And I love how you can move her eyes from side to side and make them wink/blink. Anyway, here's some pictures.

A dress I made from a pattern for Bratz/Moxie/Barbie sizes. I think it's Simplicity. You can see the vintage Skipper shoes, too.

I want to dress her like Marie from Persona 4, but I'm having trouble finding a pattern for a white tank top. I've got the skirt and socks, though.

Over all, I'm happy with her. She's very cute and I'm excited to try and make more clothes for her.

Love her outfits! She's a real cutie.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Lengthening patterns is nothing. You can literally add the length to the hem or cuff. There are other places and ways just check any sewing manual.

Thanks!

Yeah, I guess I could lengthen most of the patterns I have. The Simplicity ones are cut out and sewn kind of weird so I might have problems with some of those.
