I just received my Helsa 11″ LE DFDC set today and immediately deboxed them, rebodied Hans, redid his faceup so he’s gazing at Elsa (like in the DFDC artwork from the set!),and gave him a sword sheath/belt. For Elsa, I was disappointed she wasn’t ‘designer’ in any way like all the other princesses are—her gown was just exactly her ice gown from the movie. (A really NICE deluxe ice gown but nothing ‘designer or couture’ at all about it, so I set about making her ‘designer’ myself. I just adore the Elsa Enesco Couture statue figure and so I decided to replicate that for my DFDC Elsa doll to model! I made the gown last week while I was waiting for my set to arrive. I also rearranged them in the case/box so they are more in their pose from the artwork. (Why on earth were they on the wrong sides and why was Hans looking the opposite way from the art?)
Details:
Hans has been rebodied onto a Mattel Model Fashionista tall male body. I cut his head so it wouldn’t have the too wide neck and refitted it onto the fashionista which is taller and slimmer and more poseable. (Look! He can put his hand behind his back like in the artwork!) I completely wiped his face off and redid it, having him gazing left instead of right (as in the artwork as well), retouched his hair to make it more red/auburn, gave him shading, blush and delicate freckles. I hope you like him!
Elsa, I slimmed her head, then retouched her faceup, with shading, blush, iridescent lips, and freckles. I then made her a gown that is more ‘designer’ fashioned after the gorgeous ‘Enesco Couture statue’. The bodice is many sequins in pearlescent palest blue with turquoise/cerulean holographic glitter around the top and bottom, and a crystal and blue faux gemstone snowflake at the center chest. The straps are 2 rows of pearls, also on her wrists, connecting her 2′ long cape, in the back choker with an AB crystal snowflake dangling from it. The cape I edged in silver venise lace trim and her skirt is embroidered snowflake design at the bottom, with scalloped blue embroidered edging at the hemline. I added pearlescent snowflakes with faux pale gems in the center of each, as well as blue and crystal faux gem snowflakes all over the bottom of the skirt, too. Under the skirt is a pale blue iridescent layer to give her a ‘glowing/icy’ fractal look. I added an icy blue crown with AB crystal gem in center and put her in the pose from the artwork as close as she would go.
I hope you like them!! I’m so in love with them now myself!!!
