Oh, it's not the first time. I have this one dollar store fashion doll I've held onto since I was a kid - she's a beautiful dark AA tone that's just a smidge above Barbie's second-darkest shade but with cooler undertones. The only thing holding her back from more is that she has a really old-cheap hollow thin-plastic body and a problematic neck 'peg' that's actually a ball. I'm pretty sure (mostly) that I can work around the peg issue if I could just find a body that matched. I've actually took a chance on a cheap poseable body on ebay this winter in the hopes it might be close enough. Tho with all the factors involved (including the variability of 1980's vinyl batches) I don't have much hope.
