This lil critter has no name but for now he is just my test head. Emory has a few of these Dollzone BB heads for a good price so I got one to experiment on with no fear of ruining an expensive doll. It also helped that I wasn't super fond of the sculpt to begin with so I made a few changes. The shape of the nose and the lips bugged me a bit with the proportions. The upper lip was super thick and deep in a odd way and the nose was a little snoutish because of the nostril placement. I ended up giving him some teeth and making the nostrils wider to thin the septum a bit. I also shaved down the side of his nose bridge a little.

As you can see the changes aren't drastic but it was fun to do.

Here he is painted. I have to say I'm not so good at doing BJD faces yet. I'm not super happy with his eyebrows, eyelashes or his lips so at some point I will redo his face. His eyes are sculpted unevenly so when I redo his face I'll go in and try to balance things out a bit more too. Hopefully I'll get better and more precise with my eyelashes and mouths.

I like the semi feline look to him. :D
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
