Juku Couture

Postby Lokiholic » Sat May 14, 2011 7:16 am

A friend of mine just posted pictures of her Juku Couture doll onto her livejournal and I love the faces. Looks like they average somewhere between $30-$50 a doll on Amazon though, the higher prices reserved for the ones with the really adorable outfits. Is there any place I might be able to find them where they won't be so expensive?

They are. I might have to break down and get an eBay account, finally.

Why can't everything I like be as easy to get? Even when I go playline, it's something that I can't get easily.

It's that second one that I'm worried about. :? I have too many things that I like as is. Getting an eBay account would open the floodgates...

Too bad you didn't get into them earlier. :( They didn't do so well so they had a ton of them on clearance for like $7 at target and toysrus. They only place for you to get them would be resale or at a thrift store or someplace like that. I have two, but the posing quality is so diverse between each one. One of them is so loose, the other is pretty good. And the first release of them imo is so much better than the newer ones. Kana had purple hair and green eyes! And when they second released them, they got normal colored hair and eyes and they switched the outfits around. :/

I wasn't collecting any dolls then, unfortunately. :/ I didn't start until my friend (the one who posted her Juku Couture) posted Lagoona Blue. I now have every Monster High except for the SDCC Frankie.

I wasn't in the country while they were out, either, which doesn't help.

I picked up my set of Jukus the day after Xmas for half off, but it took going to all three Targets in my area. They compare in size to the Obitsu 23cm so if you miss out you can fake them with Obitsu eye hole heads and wigs. I have one on the Jakks Pacific page of my website. All in all they're nice little dolls quality wise.
