Barbie Fashionista/Obitsu hybrid?

My mom works at Big Lots so she tells me EVERY time a new BJD type doll comes in. I noticed they got the original Barbie Fashionista's. I love their faces but they don't really...Fit...With my crew that well. I wouldn't throw the heads away but it got me thinking...

Anyone Fashionista an Obitsu head? (Might be able to bring Satsuki home in a way...)

Haven't yet, but if the pale Fashionistas become more common I might give it a try.

That's all they got at my local biglots. If I pick one up sometime I may give it a try myself.

Right now the regular Fashionista doesn't match any Obitsu skin tones BUT if you like any of them get them because they'll disappear. IMHO this is the best mass market Barbie body around, it could only improve with a ballerina/gymnast waist and a lighter skin tone option, but then again they're pushing the head swap and that works best with one skin tone. ~Has several spare heads~ When I hit a $5 each sale I bought one of each and upgraded some Barbies I've had since the 90s.

Barbie pale, about what they use for the Disney Princesses, is closer to Obitsu normal. You can get DPs with jointed elbows and wrists with click knees.

I would just wait until the next wave comes out since there's a pale girl and they finally got rid of the swapping heads feature (with the torso joint back)...

Mattel says next year but people are already finding them in stores... (Lucky me, I only get the new guys from this wave so far... *bitter*) I recommend haunting your local fashionista outlet...
