It is if you have never seen the movie at that time and is new to the concept of BJD (before I got my first Obitsu to kick my back into dolldom). Was looking at small Volks dollfies when i turn around and got an eyeball load of two dolls done up to look creepy. It didn't help when behind them was the Dollmaster poster...

And yeah I ended up watching the movie a year or so later. Sad rather that scary

Watching it
Part 1 and Part 2

Mine would raid the fridge and PS3 and probably hang off a laundry pole to do a circus act

No, she didn't say it that way. But June Foray really made this episode...so sweet and innocent and so evil, wicked, mean and nasty at the same time.

Getting back to topic, however, TnS in Torrance tends to count dolls that have Volks heads as still being Volks. So they are not necessarily adverse to hybrids. However, I have bought for my Obitsus there...they are cool if you are discreet and not flashing your dolls in the store. One time I had to see if Z could wear a pair of geta...his feet were way too small, being as they are the standard Obitsu feet.

And they actually have a showroom outside of Japan in Korea but here is alist of all of them:

There was a doll con in central california??? Wahhhh!!! I found out too late! I live in Nor Cal. Never got to go to Dollectable either- it was way to expensive for me to get in. Hope there will be another one!

Yea, I would like to check out a doll convention myself. Looks like I won't have a chance any time soon though.

Back on the subject of the Volks store.. they do allow photos of dolls to be taken within the photo both, but they need to be volks brand. Otherwise they don't. They're becoming more tolerant of other brand/companies dolls being brought in now, but I would ask just to be nice. It is technically advertising for another company inside the store somewhat.

Frankly, I heard that someone snubbed Volks during opening day by a Luts/CP fan and wouldn't be too surprised if that is related to this at all. Still amazes me how rude people can be sometimes.

Is anyone planning to visit soon?
I'd appreciate it very much if someone could check if they have a specific Dollfie body in stock for me!

There's like 2-3 things I want to get from the Volks store ( a DD head, some Pearl powder... etd) ... I have been debating just biting the bullet and ordering form the site. I dunno if it would anyone very much if I did a GO though since they're US based. Thoughts? The DD heads work with the 50cm Obitsu, if my memory serves, correct?

I think they could, but they're on the large size, esp for a 50cm Obitsu (which is pretty slender). I'm sure someone will know better then me. I was considering doing an order from Volks, but decided not to for now. They no longer are selling MSC off their site and only have the volks brand version (which isn't bad but is slightly different).

DeadlyVixen: Forgot to mention I checked Volks awhile back and their bodies were fairly well cleared out for 1/6. The EB Beauty you asked about was out of stock when I looked back in August.

It sounds like an amazing store.

I was just on Volks' website and pleasantly surprised to find their 1/6 Dollfies back for sale...My X-mas money may wind up for my first Volks girl.
