I didn't want to spam the MH thread with my Ghoulia progress so I gave her her own thread. Basically, everytime I've tried painting her, it was her eyes that really bothered me, so I'd get frustrated and wipe it. But I think I finally got some eyes on her I'm happy with. Not to mention her hair. There was a while there where I was leaving her with blue hair, and while I really liked her hair, it wasn't doing anything for me creativity wise.
And then I saw my red fabric paint... and I ate a cookie and set up some space in my kitchen. I followed the general rules for dying synthetic hair. Fabric dye, hot water, soak it. Technically mine was paint but hey, it worked!
I think I ate about five cookies while doing this. I wasn't nervous because I figured if I messed up I could still save the doll in some fashion. Biggest thing about this one is that I would make a plan for her, and she would be very uncooperative about that plan and thwart me on it. For once, I did something we were both pleased with.
I still have to touch up the areas where the dye touched her plastic, and her face isn't done. I'm going to adjust her lips into a more frown/pout. But otherwise, here have a punky zombie girl...? lol
