Amaryllis and Madoka Nendo and the SWEET LOOTZ of Anime Iowa

Postby 1/6andtinylover » Sun Jul 29, 2012 7:33 pm

a.k.a. 1sixthandtinylover is back. So I went to Anime Iowa this weekend (I live like 10 minutes away from the place), and got to meet Zirconmermaid and Hazel. That reminded me to get my butt back on the train and get active again. I got Amaryllis way back in late February for my birthday, but since I'm a lazy butt I didn't do much with her until now. She is Pullip Mami Tomoe!

Warning: Crappy phone pics ahead.

Image

She's wearing a wa-loli dress from Keeley's Cute Kimonos (omg I got to see a Dollfie Dream in real life...). Her hair looks fine here but in reality....it's sort of a mess. A huge mess. Gotta wash her hair again.

Image

The dress was made for a Dal, but it still fits. I suppose that type 4s are just really slim. I kept her school uniform skirt underneath the kimono to work as a lame substitute petticoat.

Image

Notice how she's holding a Madoka nendoroid petit. And notice how Madoka nendo is holding a Kyubey...

-insert lame Inception joke here-

Image

BLUH BLUH HUGE SLEEVES- wait what's that?

Image

It's Madoka! And Kyubey!

I bet you can do that with a small animal and an actual kimono. Or any other sort of clothing with ridiculously huge sleeves.

BONUS:

WHY CAN'T I

Image

HOLD ALL THESE SWEET LOOTZ

And the little badge tag thingy? has Hawkeye/Clint Barton from Avengers saying "Budapest..." That pink thing is some sort of ring.

Welp. I probably blew 50 something dollars on these. And I didn't pre-register so no badge discounts for me. In other words, I just blew over 100 bucks at a con. It was worth it.

I'm probably going to repeat that again next year, aren't I? But with larger amounts of money of course.

YAYS!! Yes, those kimono are adorable!! I got to see people and dolliehs, but alas, Scoundrelle was there too and we were selling all the gorgeous people clothes and corsets and I didn't have lots of time to chat with everyone. I am so happy I got to see you!!

Hehehe I would have bought another Nendo petit in hopes it would be a Mami nendo (so I could do a Mami-ception, since Amaryllis was originally Mami Tomoe), but I had other lootz to get. It's good to be back in this community again! *flail*
